- Is there any news on Beau? I was at a dog charity meeting in Pulloxhill last weekend and spread the word among all the dog owners and pub locals. The bar maid said she had seen him on Facebook, so word is spreading. Can't begin to think how you must be feeling if he is not found yet. Thinking of you.

- Walked most of Silsoe footpaths today and out to Pulloxhill direction.Would agree more posters around Silsoe as with all the new houses there are lots of walker out in the area daily. Have you tried leaving food/bedding/clothes out in a quiet area of the garden he was lost from.He maybe hiding very nearby and the familiar smells may tempt him out if he's hungry.I lost a dog in a unfamiliar area and she never ventured further than 200m from where she blotted from and only came out when it was dark and quiet.Thinking of you.

- Hi. Really feel for you. We were in Flitton on New Year's Eve. I've shared with the Silsoe Network on FB and sent link to our dog sitter in Toddington in case Beau tries to head home. Everything crossed he is found.

- Here's a story to inspire you: My son had too many dogs and decided to rehome one of them. After a week or two the dog ran away from his new owners (they lived 20 miles away)My son went to help in the search but he was nowhere to be found. About a week later the dog was picked up by the dog warden in an area about half way between the original home and the new home, HE WAS MAKING HIS OWN WAY HOME!! If you can't find Beau around Flitton, try searching the straight line cross country from Flitton to Dunstable, you never know! Good Luck. (P.S. My son kept the dog, he is with them still.)

- Thank you everyone for you all your support, unfortunately I am unable to make 10.30 but my husband, son and Shannon will be coming to join in the search. I will be coming up to Flitton about 2pm with a friend and her dog to see if he can pick up a scent of Beau from his bedding/toys.

- I will be there Jacqui.Sadly the dog at the car auctions was female and has been caught.Someone today thought they saw a small dog in the fields at the back of the car park we are proposing to meet at so a good place to start but it may of been a fox as owners saw one when they went to search there.

- I hope to rally together several local friends to do a co-ordinated search tomorrow if the family are agreeable? I spoke to Shannon about it today and she has my mobile number. I propose to meet at the MUGA car park in Flitton at 10.30, there are much more car parking spaces there than in Centenary Wood carpark, and plan an intensive search effort for 2 hours. The postcode is MK45 5DR, it's the car park 100 yards up from the village hall, by the tennis courts. Anyone who wishes to participate should wear wellies and thick trousers/jackets and bring mobile phones, torches and sticks if at all possible. Thanks Jacqui

- Thank you Gretel in placing a poster in Ampthill Park. Beau went missing (run off) just before midnight on new years eve from my sisters's in Law house in Evesfield, Flitton. The fireworks spooked him & we didn't realise the back door was ajar.. He lives with us in Dunstable so it sounds like people are sharing around on FB & social media the same Chihuahua.. Thank you
- 2015-01-02 16:35 Gretel
- I've placed a poster in the Dog notice board in Ampthill Park. Lots of folk from Flitton walk there so maybe the word will get around.
There is a report on Maulden Voice Facebook page that a dog called BO from Dunstable went missing on New Years Eve, some confusion as to whether this is BEAU or a second missing Chihuahua?
Did BEAU go missing on NYE or 1st Jan? Also did he run off on a walk or is there a suspicion of theft from the garden etc? Please advise. - 2015-01-02 16:16 gailm
- From the owners again, there has been reports that a small dog that fits the description has been seen around the near British Car Auctions Ampthill?

- Searched for 2 hours this afternoon, my friend searched for 2 hours this morning. I have shared this link on the local selling pages which get a lot of local interest and many of my friends and family have searched their gardens, sheds, outbuildings. If the owners plan to do a co-ordinated search party over the weekend please let me know and I will get together as many people to help as I can, I live on Sand Rd, just round the corner from where he went missing. Really hope the little boy is found safe soon, please keep us posted xx
