I am still regularly looking in the areas she has been sighted and keeping people aware. Come on Sorrell, show yourself again.

Been out looking tonight, trying to work out where she would be going. I;ve tried Cannards Grave Road area a few times. Tonight into Shepton Mallet, around Ditcheat, Evercreech and Pylle. Over to Pilton, back via country lanes. At the weekend I did Evercreech to Castle Cary and Evercreech to Cranmore and Doulting & back via Cannards Grave Road. Also Bruton to Wanstrow and then walked all up around Lamyatt over the hill to Wyke Champflower again.

There is a chance she is still in the area, or she could have moved on.

Possible sighting on Sunday on Cannards Grave Road. I have notified anyone I know in surounding villages and went out for a look around last night. Highly likely it WAS her and also highly likely she's moved on.

Has found ref 81859 been ruled out? I know it says lurcher & not microchipped but they look very similar & chips don't always show up.

Do you still have milkmen out there? they are also another good source x

Been out there twice more today. I popped a poster into Bruton Vets this morning and this afternoon have been out again. No one at the kennels, so I have left a poster with a note. I have also been out and given a poster to Delaware vets at Castle Cary.

Really pleased you managed to speak to Postie Jasper, they are always useful to tell as they go all over the place.

Taking my dogs out shortly and will check out the bit between Lamyatt & Wyke CF.

Just back from W.Cf had a really good drive around, spoke to the postman, added a few more posters but no sign. Went into Hopkins depot and they kindly said they would alert their drivers.

Good morning. Bobble I did drop a poster into the country store but didn't do kennels. I didn't poster in bruton centre either as it was difficult to stop so concentrated more on the outlying areas. Hope for some news today.

I'll be out that way again in the morning and I'll print off some more posters and drop into Bruton Countrystore and Vets if not done so already. There is a dog boarding kennel between Bruton & Wyke CF - has anyone been in there yet? If it can be done in the morning great, if not I'll call in in the afternoon when I finish work and drop off the other posters.

Well done team sorrel.

Hopkins have a depot in Wincanton, if there is anyone who can call in there. Nice to see so many posters out and people I spoke to know about Sorrell.

Good suggestion lorry drivers are always great and happy to help nd they can see so much more than the rest of us being high up.
There is also now a missing Pointer in the same area.

Thanks bobble. Just got back from wyke! Have done some postering and had a good look around also. Very helpful lady at Cary concrete printed off some posters for their drivers and neighbours. Just thought, is anyone close to Hopkins, a large haulage firm from castle Cary I think. Their lorries are very busy in the area that we are interested in.

I went out that way again this morning, no obvious sightings, but difficult when no knowledge of the exact location of the sighting and very aware of the railway across the field from the road.

Jasper: Wyke Champlower is a hamlet comprising a couple of farms (maybe more, a few houses and the big Wyke Farm Cheese Factory. There is a pig unit nearby and that may attract a loose dog. It is on the B road between Bruton, Lamyatt, Castle Cary and Alhampton which is the other side of the A371. (& not B3081). Potential hazzards are the railway line, the river Brue and the main A roads.

I do hope this is Sorrell, she's been missing for too long. Would it be a good idea for the owners to go out to Wyke Champflower very early in the morning, more likely to spot her then I would have thought.

Owner on her way to put up posters in the area of the cheese farm...Have given her sighters number for more exact location.

I have some posters here ready to go. Shall I head out that way and put them up? Is wyke champ flower a village as the map is vague? Any more info on exact location and circumstances of the sighting? I will head out there in a couple of hours and will also have a scout round the general area.

Bumping page due to possible sighting and I have alerted the wonderful people at Wyke Farm Cheese, who I am sure will do what they can to help.

Just back from walk with dogs around south Cadbury end. Nothing to report I'm afraid but I will do some posters also. Hope that with things back to normal tomorrow there might be some sightings.
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Sorrell was frightened by fireworks and there have been no reported sightings yet. She could be lost and disorientated and could have ended up anywhere.

I have request Twitter to raise awareness too.

Sylvia, that's great are you able to pop up a poster or 2?

Niki, as we don't know where she has gone could you search from Yeovil towards North Cadbury please? That would be great and stick up some posters if you spot any suitable posts or gate posts, especially where dog walkers or horse riders go. Take care if you look in woodland once you get near to the main roads that you place yourself to search from the road into open country.

I've been out around Castle Cary area today. Not many people out to talk to as weather so bad.
Sylvia
I live in the BA6 area not far from Glastonbury(quite a distance from where Sorrell went missing) but I will keep a watch for her too in my area. I hope she is found soon.
