Thanks Calamity Jane for phoning me. I have seen the photos, but I think this poor female is darker coloured than mine, with more white on the nose. But as photos on a computer can turn out a bit different in colour, I have phoned Chichester Council and am awaiting a call back from their dog warden. They did say that they do check for microchips, so find out later on, but I don't think it's her.

have alreted owner who is checking picture now. He has a number change for landline- it is now 020 8372 0061. Mobile remains the same. fingers corssed as the markings are similar although Nikita is microchipped- CJ

Malcolm, Nice to talk to you today. I've done Battersea, Blue Cross, Dogs Trust, Mayhew, Wood Green, Goddards and Palmerstones. Hopefully may get some response from the vets rather than rescues. Good luck with recent info. Let me know if you have any updates. Katie.

Have you checked with Battersea? I was there 15/12/06 and there are quite a few Akitas. Do you think that Nikita has been given or sold to someone in this area? If so do you have anymore details? I will keep a lookout as I live in Chadwell Heath. Can't poster much at moment-just taken on a dog with big problrms and trying to sort him out so bit limited.

Angelita, cheers, looks similar but it's not Nikita. The white markings on that little girl's nose are a lot more prominent and she has a darker tinge to her coat. hi all live in the abbey and know a man in fact chatting to him in the park today he has a bitch 21 months , i will pass on the info to him and he will be interested in this ive no doubt , perhaps will get him to sign up if computer , will keep eyes and ears open too come home baby xx

I probably haven't got the space to write about my Nikitas disappearance here, but the scumbag involved was my one of my daughters, now 'EX'. It was her dog, but Nikita was in my care since mid-July, because my daughter couldn't be bothered with her. As I had 24/7 contact, she bonded closely with me. I can do anything with Nikita as she trusted me implicitly BUT she does not get on with strangers. Because of other issues I have with my daughter, she took/abducted Nikita and got rid of her to spite me. Nikita was the most loving and beautiful dog I have ever known. She is chipped in my name and address and her breeder is also furious at what has happened. I believe she is in the ROMFORD, ESSEX area, any info to her whereabouts, sightings, times, places. My male Akita also misses her.
