Oh dear no. Jayne and Helen, no matter how hard, it is still best to know. But hard is not a strong enough word for such a tragic loss. Those poor owners and poor Duchess. Thank goodness the kind person from the railways notified you. God bless sweet Duchess, safe in God's arms until she is renited with her family and may they have the strength to get through this. xxx

Such sad news, thank you Jayne for contacting the owner, a very difficult phone call to make, really hoping that this isn't Duchess x

Thank you everyone for sharing...due to this we have had a call from a doglover who works on the railway....he believes Duchess was killed by a train...have passed on this to owners...who are naturally upset...but have passed onto owner his contact number so they can identify the body....sad news..
