Fatastic news. What a clever boy you are to escape. Well done Inigo. If he had been locked in somewhere with out food, and water, it sounds like someone was going to sell him on. Sending (((HUGS))) to Inigo. Hope he is okay now, and I k now he wkill be getting lots of tlc. Stay close now Inigo:-)xxx

Galgo, Inigo's very relieved owner(s) have given me permission to share the story of his reunite here:

"After a good night sleep and a quiet day, I want to share Inigo's story with you.

Yesterday evening I got a phone call from a vet in Glastonbury telling me that Inigo had bumped into one of their vet nurses and tried to get into her house when she came home from work. I presume the awful weather yesterday pushed him to contact a human for help.
She took him to the vet surgery and they scanned his microchip.
The odd thing is that when I picked him up, he had a different collar on which was not his. According to the vet nurse, she found him with this collar.
Our theory is that someone must have picked Inigo up after he got lost and either wanted to keep him or sell him on and he escaped.
It might be useful to put this on the website and warn others that there are dodgy people in our area.

Other than that Inigo is fine. He is very very thin and was also very thirsty as if he had been locked up somewhere without food and water."

Clever Inigo, finding a kind vet nurse to help him. Ingo's family also thank us all for our help and support.

Well done everyone and thank you :)Last edited: 2016-02-07 22:00:21 by Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex

I had a drive out that way yesterday and no sign, but we don't know the exact location or direction. In case he is still traveling South I will drop a poster into Delaware Vets and notify them that he may be in their farm and horse visit area.

Just came back from Butleigh Wootton, no luck. It is a vast area though. I have contacted Mendip District dog warden and reported Inigo as lost. If it is him, then he is 20 miles away from home!Last edited: 2016-02-05 16:40:50 by Galgo

Galgo
He will be in the area in about 30 min.

Sarah, are you on facebook? I am not, hence the question. If you are, could you contact the person who has seen him to get some details? My husband is on his way .
Sarah
Someone on the Spotted site I mentioned, has also said "this is very similar to the one I saw" I am not in the area myself so I can't go and look but it's sounding possible.Last edited: 2016-02-05 12:45:07 by Sarah

Thanks Sarah, he is a Greyhound, so this is highly possible.

Still no sightings. We have put out scent trails at the beach where he got lost and around Brent Knoll where we also walked him. Come home Inigo!

assume you have had scenting advice from doglost?

Hello, this is Eva, Inigo´s owner. Sorry to leave a comment so late, but I had trouble accessing the website.
Inigo has nowhere being seen since he vanished. He is very friendly with humans and dogs alike although also very timid, especially around men. If you see him you will most certainly not be able to catch him, loud voices and fast movements will scare him away. Him being a sighthound means that he will cover a large area. My husband and I are out and about in and around Burnham every day, re-visiting Inigo´s favourite spots regularly.
Please please keep looking for him!

Owner has put loads of posters, given flyers to the postman, dog walkers, vets etc... Going to the beach twice a day and going back with other dog.

No more recent sightings.

Inigo ran into the dunes near Burnham and Berrow Golf Club with another dog which is quite normal, they usually come back. Other dog returned and Inigo did not. sighted crossing Berrow Rd a few times.

Please, if you can help look for him please do and it would be really, really helpful to poster that road to slow the traffic down and make sure motorists are aware that there is a lost, loose dog about.

I will contact people I know in the area, so me who work very close to where he went missing.
