- The fact that she had a chance is down to the love of the humans all around her and some dogs never know this love their entire lives. It's even more fitting to be loved at the end of life when it could have been much worse. R.I.P. Bonnie beautiful girl.

- Thank you all so very much for your thoughts on behalf of myself, everyone at Greyhound Gap and especially Dot Bonnies owner. Today it all feels so raw like a hard smack in the face. Everyone, everyone tried so hard for this girl, we were travelling everyday to where she was missing and her so well covered that she could literally not move without us having a phone call. I knew within a minute of her being on the M60 she was on the M60 and we were able to take the appropriate measures. Having gone up the motorway without being hit, being hit in Stockport and then making her way back down before being apprehended without being killed was a miracle in itself. To lose her this way seems so cruel and it really does not make sense. My poor vet is also beside himself but I know full well there was not safer more compassionate hands she could have been with in the Country at the time. The whole upset of the it was not meant to be is something that is going to shake us up and take us all a long time to get over x Bonnie was a wonderful, stubborn and cheeky girl who most certainly had a mind of her own and she will be missed always xx

- Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... - 2015-01-22 22:27 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

- She was operated on an hour ago to remove the damaged leg as too bad to save.
- 2015-01-22 15:07 Bo
- Sadly Bonnie is going to lose one of her legs due to the extent of her injuries after being hit by a vehicle....but after surviving running 2 junctions of the M60 at rush hour - at least she's going to run like the wind again.
- 2015-01-22 09:29 Meru

Hope all is well at the vets. - 2015-01-21 18:48 Bo
- Update from Lisa Cartwright : Bonnie is fine albeit with a seriously damaged foot. She ran 2 junctions up the M60 towards Stratford so motorway traffic was in chaos for a while (naughty girl). I have brow beaten motorway police into giving me my own way lol. Rachel Jackson en route to meet them and get her to the nearest vets. Hopefully it's just a damaged foot. Once I get the all clear she's fine I'm heading up to throttle her.

- I spotted Bonnie at approx. 16:05, running along Styal Road in Heald Green, not far from Hollyhedge Road. I've spoken to Bonnie's owner, so she is aware. Unfortunately, I couldn't get out of my car at the time to try and coax her over. Last edited: 2015-01-21 16:55:07 by LittleLaura

- The greyhound gap team are looking for a large collapsable trap, with a guillotine type trap door. Would any body know where they can purchase / borrow / beg from??
As per comment below please dont approach Bonnie but please report sightings to Lisa on the number below.Last edited: 2015-01-21 11:35:23 by s & s - 2015-01-18 10:44 JustJackie
- Bonnie is still out there, hanging around Wythenshawe, and seems to be sticking fairly close to Painswick Park and the roads adjacent to the park. Greyhound Gap founder and others are out there this morning hoping that Bonnie has had enough of these cold nights, and is ready to hand herself in. If you are in the area and think you have seen her this morning then please contact Lisa on 07917422489 or 07546018865, but please do NOT attempt to catch Bonnie as she is quite a nervous dog, and we don't want her to become anxious and do a runner again. Thank you.
- 2015-01-15 14:48 Greyhoundgap
- Latest update she was seen not so long ago on Aviator Way bsuiness park which heads back towards Painswick Park. She has kept a perfect triangle off road from A to b to c. Fingers crossed we are hot on her tail now and we can catch up with her soon. Sightings are dropping off a bit now but I am guessing she will be tired and heading to bed down a little. I just hope bar dodging airport traffic she can stay safe as she seems other than that faux pas to be avoiding roads.
- 2015-01-15 13:40 Greyhoundgap
- I have a feeling that Painswick Park is the area we need to concentrate on in the main if anyone is in and around that area and can help. The initial sighting was on Portway and around the Happy Man pub and I think this is where she originally bolted to. This morning we have had sightings on Portway and she has also the little Madam caused traffic chaos at Manchester Airport Terminal 2. Portway is one side of Painswick Park and the Airport terminal is literally the other so the park seems the main sensible point inbetween to lie low. I am hoping that as she is now more than up and out and about and mobile in the daylight hours she has had enough is cold, hungry and now willing to accept help as normally that is the point they are at when out and about at noisier times! With the airport and the motorway so close though we just have to keep praying she stays safe in the interim until we can get hold of her.

- OMG ..Really hope this is the breakthrough needed. If anyone can get Bonnie home safely, its Lisa from Greyhound Gap. Just stay safe Bonnie.
- 2015-01-15 12:08 Greyhoundgap
- Update we have just had a confirmed sighting backed up with photo which I am happy to report I can confirm is Bonnie. She has been seen on Portway Road heading towards the Happy Man Pub. Volunteers on the ground in the area and heading over
- 2015-01-14 17:31 Greyhoundgap
- Thanks all the area is pretty well postered now and I have notified all vets within a 4 mile radius, contacted the chipping company, notified the dog warden and contacted MDH. I was really really hoping that we would have had some sightings phoned in by now but nothing. She was last seen around 8.10am yesterday morning and mapping the sightings from the night before it looked like she had done a loop and was making her way home but nothing since. I really hope she is okay and safe and just keeping out of sight as that area is very busy with tram lines and sadly also very close to the motorway. If we do get regular sightings I will go up myself but at the moment other than make sure she is well reported everywhere there is not much more that I can do. We do have volunteers on the ground out looking still postering and talking to all the locals. Just feel gutted! We may have rehomed her 4 years ago but she is still a Gap dog and still one of our much cherished babies.
