- This is so very sad, the poor owners who got so close to catching her and poor Lily who didn't get to know her new family and understand she was safe. I lost a newly adopted dog years ago & understand how the owners must be feeling. RIP Lily x

- I heard about Lily late last night and admit to crying a lot of tears for her and her new owners. Sometimes life is just so cruel. This is no one's fault. You have all be there for Lily and her owners and they still need your support. This is such a dreadful outcome. But, we must trust there was a reason. We cannot possibly know what that reason was, but being on DogLost for a few years now and having lost my own dog in the same way, what I will say is, many times on here we see things that that prove there is more out there than we can see or know. Strange things, sad things, cruel things, happy things and weird co-incidences. What I'm trying to say is that things are not always as they seem. Maybe, just maybe, sweet Lily was too scared and nervous to survive in this world for longer and perhaps God loved her so much he thought it best to take her quickly, without pain. Her new owners will always be hers and Lily theirs. We each play a part to bring things to pass in the way they need to. Sadly for her loving owners and all those affected by her tragic story, it was Lily's time and God called her home. This is one furry baby who had defintely earnt her wings and she has found the love she so needed with her new family. But God, I so wish she could have stayed longer to enjoy that love. God bless you, beautiful sweet Lily and your new family, always. In time may your hearts know peace. xxx

- I'm so sorry she just wouldn't come anywhere near me this morning when I was walking my dogs. I normally have treats in my pocket but had run out. A few minutes earlier and the rail workers that left just as I was starting my walk might have been able to catch her.

- Possible sighting at Eight Ash Green, Colchester this afternoon. If this was lily she could be in CO3/ CO6 areas. Pls contact Lena on number above if you spot her but don't approach. Thanks x
- 2015-01-25 21:35 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- kimmybear yes we have plotted all sightings on a map
- 2015-01-25 21:34 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- We continue to sight her in the Marks Tey area. She is in fields around Elm Lane but unfortunately keeps crossing the busy A120 into Salmons Lane, perhaps for food. Tracked her visually with spotters posted at specific points for a few hours on Saturday and will continue to do so to work out her pattern. Sorry for lack of updates but signal poor in the area and it's been a busy few days. Traps are out and being watched.
If there are any DL volunteers in that area can we please advise caution when travelling down the A120 between Coggeshall and Marks Tey?
Thanks!! X - 2015-01-25 20:41 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Any more sightings? Remember, owner, do everything in the email I sent. xxx
- 2015-01-23 12:03 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Listen, no one feel guilty - this is a very scared dog but has come back to owner and took food, so will do so again. She will run off if spooked and so Tamsin, even if you stopped, you wouldn't have caught her, so you did the right thing in advising police. Well done. Now the police are also aware and will help. Is anyone plotting the sightings? Sasha, how is that working out? Her triangle should be evident now. You are doing great! x

- Message from DogLost facebook page on 18th, for info. ***Hi. I have just seen your dog in the field behind the Kings Arms pub. I stopped and tried calling her but she ran off into the field heading towards Coggeshall. Hope you catch her soon. She looks very cold and frightened. x ****
- 2015-01-21 07:37 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- Thanks for calling it in Tamsin! We were contacted by police and a few of us including a police unit went to area but could not see her.
We had a sighting yesterday morning at approx 0800 back where we need her to be in Coggeshall. Owner and a couple of volunteers got to the area but again no sign. We had watchers out all day, altho it was a passive search as we don't want to scare her away. No more sightings during the day unfortunately.
We start over again today. X - 2015-01-20 12:32 tamsin
- Hi it was me that saw Lily on Sunday and called the police (feeling very guilty for not stopping and trying to catch her but was unaware until yesterday that she was missing just presumed she had come out of one of the houses there.) she was still wearing her collar, generally looked ok just a little scared. She was on Coggeshall Road between Marks Tey and Coggeshall but was heading back towards Bradwell and then run across into the field opposite, just by Elm Lane. I have driven the length of elm road today but not sign im afraid :(
- 2015-01-19 08:20 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- Another great show of support from volunteers this weekend to help search for Lily. We had a couple of sightings called in and one notable one from Essex police who had a call regarding a GSD running in and out of cars in Elm Lane, Marks Tey.
We searched the area in cars and on foot but we didn't see her.
Thanks go to the Essex police patrol who also spared some time to scour the sighting area!Last edited: 2015-01-19 08:21:24 by Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels) - 2015-01-18 23:27 Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)
- We have set up a Facebook group for Lily

- Lily has gone a fair way, so is her old house in this area?
Fingers crossed she gets caught .
Yes always a good idea to get down as low as the dog.
Feed with one hand if possible stroke with the other.
That way is easier to get hold the collar.
Never take a grab at the collar.
Most dogs will sense that move , and they will run fast.
Good luck

- Owner has contacted me. She nearly got Lily a few times today in Coggeshall. So close. Now remember to crouch down, act non-threatening, coax with food and do not chase. You are doing great! Well done out there. x (Owner unable to log back in - advised to contact Admin for assistance).
