Hi Springermad, the owner lives out of area, Shaybee was being looked after by family when she went missing, Unfortunately the family havent got a printer, so unable to do posters, Myself & another lady from A local fb page have put up a few posters around St Georges Rd, and couple of surrounding roads, the lady has also put a poster outside the 2 local schools, post office & corner shop.. As far as I know it is only the very immediate area and these 4 places which have been postered... x

Can owner let us know on here where they have postered, in order that we know where has been done/not done please, thanks

just looked on animal wardens site. She is listed on there as Shady. Is she shaybee or shady? May be worth correcting the name in case someone has her.

When I spoke to daughter she said that Shaybee is very vocal and would make a high pitch noise if shut in anywhere...Lots of shares both though fb & Doglost which is good...
I am working tonight & tomorrow night so will be sleeping tomorrow day, will print some posters tho and try and get some up tomorrow pm... If anyone else can help poster would be very much appriciated .. x

Thanks TK for contacting Gemalems.
I have shared to Doglost South East, Doglost East Sussex, Clarkey and my pages and we seem to be getting quite a lot of shares now. Please keep at it everyone as we need to get the word out about this little dog.
Any information as to where abouts Shaybee usually lives?

Seems very strange that there have been no sightings since this little girl has been lost so I agree it's very possible someone has found her and taken her to safety.
However, no-one has reported this to the Dog Wardens and/or Police (which is required by law) and as Shaybee had a collar and tag on it would have been simple to telephone her owner.

Sooo .. posters everywhere and anywhere please. Would be good idea to post half size posters through letter boxes of houses in the area just in case someone has her and they are not aware there is a big search on for her.
We really need to make this little sweetie
>>>>> TOO HOT TO HANDLE! <<<<<<

It's also worth having another good search of the area where she went missing in case Shaybee has got stuck in someone's garden/garage/shed .. it would be so easy to miss such a little dog.
Gemalems .. do you think Shaybee would bark if she had been shut in somewhere like that? Also are there any particular places that she is familiar with .. that she would know from being with you before perhaps?

I'm so sorry but I'm afraid I'm working long hours at the moment and won't be able to help poster as I'm out in the country with horses all day.
If anyone can help poster please then it would be much appreciated.

Gemalems.. Please let us know how you are getting on with the search and postering. If you can say where there are posters up already then that would help us. If you get anyone ringing up saying they have seen Shaybee then please comment on here asap as I can bump the page for sightings.
.. and please keep us updated on here as not everyone who helps Doglost is on Facebook. Thanks!

Might be worth contacting the Observer as they may be interested in doing a story on this little girl.

Have received email just now in TN37..
Found out Shaybee was missing this morning after seeing a fb post
Have spoke to Owners daughter who was looking sfter Shaybee on Friday, It is thought Shaybee managed to slip out the door, but within 10 mins of her being missing the family were out searching all around the area.. they knocked on doors, so neighbours are aware she is missing.. Shaybee doesnt know the area as she was being looked after.. Daughter immediately phoned dog warden, and has been ringing dog warden daily..
She has also phoned local vets..
Shaybee is not microchipped, but was wearing a collar with ID disk on it..
She is a tiny little dog & only has 3 legs, although she manages to get around fine, just has slight problems with jumping up..
Have advised daughter to add on here which she has done & to poster the whole area....
The fact that the family were out searching within 10 mins & she is not the sort of dog to wander off, it is possible someone has picked Shaybee up & hasnt reported her yet, & they havent rung the number on her tag...
Have shared locally on fb & others are sharing too ...
Need to make her too hot to handle
Fingers crossed for some news soon xLast edited: 2015-01-14 14:17:44 by TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex

Sorry to see that SHAYBEE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (81376)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
