My daughter and I walked the bridal path between Redehall road and Broadbridge Lane on the night she was seen in Broadbridge Lane and then around the village but no sighting. Every time any of us go out we are vigilant. Tomorrow morning I will be riding around Smallfield and may have a better vantage point on the horse so will let you know if I see anything. If you get any sightings near us again please call me on 07979 377947 and if we are in we will go out and help search. I so hope she is caught soon she must be terrified and exhausted by now.
shoot the owner
Will run off some for school gates etc. in small field and post office and butchers. Given that the last sighting is a deadend road with admittedly shrubbery just by the station, fencing albeit not close by the side of the M23 the other side, she had the choice of going over M23 and most dogs don't like this as it's open and fast traffic underneath, or turning back into smallfield and perhaps to Outwood at the roundabout. Have you posted out this far, husband is in Banstead and will come round that way now on his way back.
Angie
Hi we have put posters on footpaths but posting loads through doors tomorrow. Thank you again to everyone for all your support in helping us find the gorgeous Tilly. X
Shadow
I live just down the road so will keep a look out for her. Haven't seen any posters so anyone sees her can get a number to call. Only know of this through this site.

I'm Tilly's owner and I'd just like to really thank everyone who has been trying to help us return her home. I am amazed by how many people are looking for her and how kind everyone has been: especially those who have been out all day trekking round the area. Of course, special thanks to Angie and her whole family who couldn't be doing more to reunite us. Hopefully Tilly will stay close and we can find her tomorrow - we really miss her. Jo x
Angie

Thursday .. NEWS FLASH ..
6.45: Angie has seen her and Angie and owner were following at a distance, but have lost sight of her .. she is in Broadbridge Lane Smallfield .. they are hoping she will go down the footpath and will then be at the back of the property where she was lost from. She would not come to owner when owner called her.
>>> Please do NOT all rush to help .. this needs to be quiet and calm.
If anyone knows people who live in that lane .. please phone them to say :
Look out of their windows into their gardens to see if she is hiding there .. but THEY MUST NOT GO NEAR her and DONT go into garden or call to her .. just phone Angie 07709 496047 .. if any gates can be shut to keep her in the garden without going near her please do so.
Please put out any type of dog food or meat human food to encourage her to stay around .. again do NOT go near her or speak to her with the plate - if she does come and eat it, when she backs off again put out more food maybe if far enough from her place a trail of small bits of food to a half opened outhouse or garage door small side door (not main vehicle doors) and put a large amount of food well into the furthest corner of the garage with a trail of food leading to it and if she goes right in try to shut door (only if you know she is really well into the garage or outbuilding).
Cannot stress enough .. do not try to catch or retain her .. she will jump fences to avoid being caught and we will lose her again .. just ring please.
Thank you

Might it be worth a friendly visit to the travellers' site in Smallfield? Not saying she will be there, but they are very observant and may well have seen her. Hope you'll be able to get her to feed peacefully somewhere so she can be rounded up.

If anyone in the area could print off posters and put them up on poles, street lights, shop windows etc .. that would be a huge help.
Shirley4Collies
Hi Shoot the Owner .. could you tell me what area Cross/Downlands Lane is please? Where is 'the back of us' please .. many thanks.
shoot the owner
She was in the farmer's field at the back of us. Trudging through the rucks of the old corn I saw her laying on the grass next to a dividing hedgerow. In the middle of a very waterlogged field and no mobile didn't have a hope. She got up and took off heading towards Cross Lane/Dowlands Lane. This was around 4ish. She's limping on the back right leg, probably the corn stubble.

she is limping a bit on her right back leg, not surprising it's not easy to walk on corn stubble.

Hi i live in lingfield and would like to help with the search but i dont have transport. If anyone is heading out and is willing to give me a lift from lingfield co-op please txt 07771359004, thanks nat

For anyone wishing to help search today .. areas to be driving around:
Copthorne and Shipley Bridge - all estates and roads if possible.
Outwood - including all small roads if possible.
Salfords and all roads into estates leading off the Balcombe Road.

There is no pattern to her movements at the moment (as she doesn't know the area), so any searches outside the above areas would be really great too. Thank you anyone who has the time to search today.

Please ***DO NOT TRY TO CATCH HER*** .. please either follow her at a distance (and phone 07709 496047 ~ Angie) or if its possible manipulate her into a high fenced garden, shut any gates and stand guard and phone Angie - 07709 496047, but please do not approach .. if you have any dog treats on you toss them in her direction. Always ring immediately you see the dog, clearly state the time and the exact area you saw her .. many thanks.

Unfortunately I am not available today, so please ring ANGIE 07709 496047

OK .. update:
The dog does not know the area and has not been walked in the area so is unlikely to 'find the way home' - it was staying locally and disappeared from property around 12.30.
SIGHTINGS:
Approx 1.30pm .. seen on M23 hard shoulder north of Smallfield - confirmed by two people
Approx 3.30pm .. seen running on Balcombe Road, near Elliott Metals (999 calls confirm and confirmed by PC Morris - Thank you very much PC Morris (Sussex Police) for helping and caring enought to phone with this information).
Approx 5pm .. seen between Shipley Bridge Road and the flyover (towards Horley) (confirmed by text message to me).
Approx 6pm ish seen running from Kings Head Pub towards Smallfield
Approx 6.30pm .. seen running on Smallfield Road, from Horley direction towards Smallfield direction - huge THANK YOU to 'Dom' (who I met tonight whilst driving around - nice to meet you) for trying so hard to catch her, just missing her when she took off, so close to saving her, thank you for caring and for then spending the evening driving around and searching.
Sadly this 6.30pm is the last sighting we have of her.

Please ***DO NOT TRY TO CATCH HER*** .. please either follow her at a distance (and phone 07709 496047 ~ Angie) or if its possible manipulate her into a high fenced garden, shut any gates and stand guard and phone Angie, but please do not approach .. if you have any dog treats on you toss them in her direction.

Thank you so much indeed to all the others who have come out searching tonight .. I know of Dom and his partner, Karen, Beverley a volunteer at the Doodle Trust. Thank you to Melanie, Willow Dood and Yogibear for the info below/sharing etc.
I had to give in on the search co-ordination as my phone battery failed, so apologies if I haven't caught up with all the messages.
Thank you for caring and helping.
Angie (not owner) is still out searching tonight

My daughter and I have spent last hour driving round Smallfield, Burstow, Outwood but no sign. It might be helpful to know where she is walked, places she knows well in the area? We didn't go into Jorley though so can't comment on yogi bears post.

Sighting of dog on main road horley by the kings head pub, this was two hours ago.

I have also contacted several,4, doodle pages on Facebook. Also people I know in Smallfield as I live literally round the corner from where she went missing. I have also sent a message to the Crown Vets in Nutfield, I know that is a distance but the vets actually live on Redehall Road. I have 4 doodles and very much hope she returns safely as I can only imagine what the family must be going through.Last edited: 2015-01-14 22:30:22 by melanie

I have posted a message on the UK Labradoodle Association forum. It has many followers and all are Labradoodle lovers. Hopefully some live in your area and will be able to keep a look out for her. Sorry I don't do Facebook or Twitter, so can't post there. But perhaps some other kind person will be able to get the word out via those channels. I do hope your gorgeous girl is found safe and well very soon. Sue xx
