Only just seen this sad update. I am so sorry and was so hoping that lovely Tass would be found, safe and well. What a terribly sad outcome. I am so very sorry and my thoughts are with the owners, who do have closure, albeit a sad one. Run free at the bridge, beautiful Tass xxxx

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sad news, I've had a call from the river board a dead horse has turned up half a mile from where Tass went missing , I went to look but after all this time it is unidentifiable, they told me at the time if she's in there she would sink to the bottom and not come up for months but I hoped that was not the case. A big thanks to all who helped look for her and shared my page. So now it's time to say goodbye Tass. Appeal After Body Of Horse Discovered

The RSPCA's appealing for information after a dead horse was found dumped in East Sussex.

The body of the horse, thought to be around a year old, was found in an emaciated state on Sunday near a pumping station near Peasmarsh in Rye.

Inspectors say it looks a classic case of neglect - they're asking for anyone with information to come forward

Spoke to the guys at Allington lock today they look after all the water ways .They are still looking out for tass and have still not found anything. Please keep looking maybe someone does have her and might try selling her so please keep eye's out if your offered a horse. Thanks Jane

I remember reading when the Police were called to the field regarding Tass they were not convinced she fell in the river and a suggestion was made she may have been stolen.

A friend mentioned a horse was pulled out of the sea at Camber yesterday. I'm sure it's unlikely to be this horse given the distance but may be worth looking into? X

How about hiring a helecoptor, someone in Cumbria found his boxer dog this way very quickly, can cover so much ground in no time, sure people would donate to helps with the cost.

A pony has been found local to me in Hampshire and as no one has come forward in the few days since he has been found we are now trying a more national search. He is bay with a star and about 13hh , was wearing two rugs- he was spotted on the A33 in Hampshire a short while before being found in the village of Bramley. Police are aware and were on the the scene when he was found. RSPCA and Horsewatch are also aware and trying to locate the owner. He is safe and as no owner has come forward he will be joining my herd in the next day or so till his owner is found. He is obviously well loved and cared for by someone so either they haven't noticed he is gone or he has been stolen from further afield. Although not impossible it does look unlikely he has been dumped as well fed and rugged. If anyone is missing this well mannered lad then please contact the police, we have a reference number so let myself or another admin know and we can give you the reference number to use when calling them. This is the only photo we have at the moment with the lovely lady who found him, but I will take more once I collect him. Please share this on all the site you can. Thank you Admin

Craig at kent police has contacted the coast guards so they are keeping an eye out as all the locks were open,Allington lock and the guys who look after the river are on look out.So far nothing has turn up, Which is good and still gives me hope. please keep looking and thanks everyone. Jane

If she did go into the medway the river has locks at Yalding and again at wateringbury. It would be unlikely she went beyond Yalding.
Plenty of river boats so worth any one local asking them to spread the word.
Already alerted by Wayne of artisan rare breeds to another found horse in the river but it was not her- different colour and microchipped. Tass'owners aware (Wayne phoned plus offered advice) in case they get calls on this.

UPDATE. River has been searched again today up to the closed locks. It is really empty and no sign of her so she must have escaped the river. Anyone in Laddingford Paddock Wood Marden areas please keep a look out!!!!

OMG every horse owners nightmare when next to a river, I hope she is found safe and well. we had a rescue near me a little while back a foal had got stuck int eh river and the fire brigade managed to get her out, so fingers crossed, have the media been alerted? fingers crossed xxx have shared

I text the owner to ask if the horse was seen falling in to the river and the reply was
No but footprints suggest.
No gates opened and no footprints from field exit..

presume this is Claygate marden? is that the river medway? ( Have kent fire and recue been alerted as they would deal also the river authorities?. How sure is it that she has fallen in was it seen or heard? If itsis because she is missing could she have just escaped or even been stolen?
