- Having been told to wait until Mo became available on their website, I have just emailed the centre and got the following reply. Needless to say we are very disappointed that this has happened as we were not notified of this and she never was on the website, but on the flip side I am glad she is in a new happy home.
Thank you for asking about Mo. She was made available a few weeks ago and we are happy to be able to tell you that she found a new home almost immediately and is doing very well in that home. We are hoping that they will send us some photos and an update soon so that we can share it with everyone on our facebook pageLast edited: 2015-02-23 15:18:00 - 2015-02-20 14:56 Unknown

- Not good news I'm afraid. I just hope Mo will be ok without her companion. So sad. RIP Morris.
Message from Blackberry Farm..
We are hoping to make Mo available shortly, we are just finishing off her assessment.
Sadly Morris had severe leg problems which were causing him lots of pain that could not be eased with medication so the very sad decision was made to put him to sleep.
Sorry the news is not better but at least he is no longer in pain.

- bdurrnat to clarify Mo and Morris are not at Foal Farm in Biggin Hill. The page you refer to is puppies found in Croydon. Puppies rarely get rehomed together because of the training aspect of it. Mo and Morris are older and RSPCA want to re home them together it was part of the stipulation on their original posting when the dogs were found.
- 2015-01-21 14:31 Unknown
- bdurrant, these are the puppies found not Mo and Morris. Mo and Morris are not at Foal Farm.

- Also just seen they don't rehome 'puppy siblings' which is correct as puppies are hard work and I know of several people who've done this and it's been a nightmare, but these are neither puppies or siblings :-)
- 2015-01-21 14:23 Unknown
- bdurrant, can you post the link on here for their FB page, cant get onto FB at work. They have to rehome them together. I don't think they will survive without each other. Right I am mad, getting onto them!!
- 2015-01-21 14:23 bdurrant
- I think it's awful seeing what they been through and especially there are people who are willing to take them on,That's not nice .
The male dog is very ill and at vets - 2015-01-21 14:21 fionap58
- Would disagree with that! I think it's important and usual for dogs to have a bond with another dog, they can be trained separately as I have with mine, as they all respond differently and require different things, and would be quite unhappy being split. It's what makes the dog happy that's the most important thing and provided they are careful and pick the right owner I think it would be beneficial to let them remain a pair

- Jane has called where the babies are and has been told that she has to wait until they are up on the website until she will be considered for rehoming them. Didn't give any ideas of timescales at all. :-( So will have to check daily to see if they are there.
- 2015-01-21 08:00 Unknown
- Skyninchar I doubt if the owners will ever be found , there are some skanky owners out there .....it is a crime but you have to catch them first and that is the hardest part, even if chipped owners just say they sold them on a long time ago but cant remember to who ... hopefully now they will enjoy the rest of their lives xx
- 2015-01-20 22:24 skyninchar
- i hope that the so called owners are prosecuted big time for this, how could these have been walked or toileted daily and its never been reported, seems like crime against furbabies isnt a crime, the law should change, these babies should have protection rights, its soo heartbreaking, much love to them both xx

- OK, Kate has called back and they have gone to a place in Aylesbury to be assessed. Kate thanked my friend Jane for her interest and was so pleased that she responded. Kate asked that Jane called the kennels directly. I have a good feeling about this as Jane was home assessed before Christmas and was due to have another staff, but he was naughtly and bit another dog so it fell through. Just tried to call the kennels in Aylesbury but they are closed arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Jane will be calling on the dot at opening time.Last edited: 2015-01-20 16:05:49

She always wanted a bulldog so a staffie too will be a bonus. Lives in Sussex with loads of walks and space. Fingers crossed.

- Shelagh as far as I am aware they are still in the RSPCA centre and will stay there until well enough to be adopted they are hoping they will be placed in a home together hence the high profile on them, with any luck they will get one xx

- Oh GillyP its so distressing. That poor old guy god knows what he's been through in his life, and if he was to be seperated from his friend I don't think he would make it. Also is he going. to be safe safe where he is? Somebody will have to monitor and see where they move him on too. I can't find them on pets located, but could be there holding them with view to court case. Hope they can find a good home.Last edited: 2015-01-18 07:58:47 by Shelagh

- 2015-01-17 20:38 Unknown
- They have clearly been together for a while and love each other. Would be awful to separate them. Would take them in an instant if my boy would allow it.

- There are times like this that i wished i had a house big enough to take these cruelly treated animals and give them the love kindness and respect and also show them loyalty as they do indeed us. My choice of words that would best describe the so called humans would not be allowed! If no one can rehome these two lovelies together would The Dogs Trust or even the Oldies rescue be able to help them. Surely there is indeed a human being out there who just wants to give them both together a chance of such happiness and show them that such decent people do exist! I sincerely hope that the rspca catch the person for acting in this cruel fashion and that the organisation enjoy their day in Court when they prosecute - hopefully successfully. - If you cant see the link here is the story.
We're appealing for information after two dogs were found dumped in a dreadful state by the river in Tottenham. One was barely able to walk because he was so thin.
Mo and Morris huddle togeher after being rescued © RSPCA
Mo is a female British bulldog, she's thought to be around five-years-old. The other dog, Morris, is a male Staffordshire bull terrier thought to be around 10.
They were discovered by the water’s edge at Tottenham Marshes near Kessock Close at around 10pm on Thursday, 8 January by some passers-by.
Huddled together in the cold
It's thought they had been wandering loose, but had stopped and were huddled together. By the time they were found, Morris was so weak he struggled to walk.
The passers-by wrapped them in blankets and waited with them on a park bench until we arrived to help.
RSPCA Inspector Kate Ford said:
They were such a sad little pair, it broke my heart to see them.
Thankfully these kind people walked past, found them and cared for them until we arrived to help.
Both the dogs were so painfully thin, they had clearly just not been cared for. Morris the Staffy could barely walk and I had to carry him to the van and then into the animal hospital.
Thankfully, they are doing a lot better now, after a good feed, some warmth and lots of cuddles.
Morris is quite old and frail, poor thing, but just so adorable, and Mo just loves him. I hope they can be rehomed together but it can be difficult to find homes for two at once.
We urge anyone with any information about how these two gorgeous things came to be left that way to call us on 0300 123 8018.
Mo and Morris will need some care before they are able to be rehomed
