Both girls have gone into a rescue centre & will be re-homed together. Sorry, that's all I've been told! xx
Delhaze
I have tried to find out, but Debbi the warden, is away from work until nearer the end of the month. Hopefully she will get back to me then. xx
Caz
I agree Folly. It would be good to know how these girlies are or what has happened to them.Last edited: 2015-02-19 23:43:53 by Caz
Folly
Please can someone tell me what has happened to these two lovely girls? I would really appreciate an update. Thank you.
Dog Wardendebbi
no other information has come through about these girls. thanks again everyone we all know we tried our very best. they will go to the shelter this week.
Unknown
WE made one last push through social media to help Debbie in her quest to find the owners of these two.
Unknown
Thank you Debbi nice to hear how the dogs will be kept together .hope they will have a wonderful new life xx
Dog Wardendebbi
thanks for the supportive comments everyone. you are right, they wont be in rescue for long! I can honestly say that they will be kept together and homed as a pair, they are devoted to each other so there is no way they can be split...share everything bowls, bed, laps!thanks again for everyone's help in getting these circulated.

Jackie Grimmett Could these be linked to the dogs found in Hampshire in a disgusting state? Wondering if the thieves/breeding ring have been rattled by a recent raid on a travelers site, and as they travel are dumping the dogs?
Might be worth the local Police liaising with other Forces to see where travelers have traveled from?????
Unknown
Well sadly its a fact that no breed is exempt from being dumped, these 2 wont stay in rescue for long, just hope they go together x
Delhaze
I honestly think you have done everything you can to find the owner/s, Debbie. The post & pictures have been shared far & wide on Facebook & other sites. I like you have trawled through so many pages on Gumtree, Preloved & numerous rescue sites, & I know so many others have too. I'm sure they will find a wonderful forever home where they will be loved & cared for! Thank you so much for all the time & effort you have put into this & for caring, from all Cavalier breeders & owners everywhere! xx

Have had confirmation from owner of lincolnshire dogs as well as info from lincolnshire police. All 4 returned. Have trawled through 195 pages of dogs for sale on gumtree as ell as countless on prelived and no advert. This was done straight away as the adverts are rarely taken down straight away when the dog gets sold on. I have circulated to 6 police forces, every local authority nationally, as many cav rescues i can find as well as breeders. I have followed up on any report of stolen cavs or spaniels. This along with all the help from sharers on facebook and twitter has resulted in nothing on where these 2 came from. Thank you to everyone who has tried to help, but i am going to put these into a shelter next week. Every effort has been madeto find the owner and they deserve to find a nice home rather than spend longer time in council kennels.
Inge
Have shared with FB. If they were sold on gumtree, there would be a record surely

Yes the Lincolnshire police are correct see http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=69536#.VMbF4mlybIU

All 4 dogs found.

Are the Lincolnshire police definitely correct because the one picture seems identical to the burglary in Lincolnshire - please see report in the http://www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk/Owner-Cavalier-King-Charles-Spaniels-stolen-house/story-21152931-detail/story.html#1KUzvGfe9Gp2zyM5.01

Just to make others aware after reading story and posting details on here I checked usual dog selling sites for Rickmansworth and beyond but came up with nothing. I don't believe the men had bought them but just in case there was an owner who did actually sell them I'm sure any decent one would rather be made aware of what happened to them. Also if they had just bought them why were they so muddy they needed a freshun up? Surely if you were selling dog and showing it to someone you wouldn't show it to potential buyers etc muddy would you, so believe they are stolen, or maybe got rid of after an old person died? Hope we get to the bottom of it bless them.

hi, there was information re a burglary in lincolnshire in may, 4 cavvies were stolen. I have called the owner and not received a response so I called Lincolnshire police.... they checked the log and the lady had all 4 returned to her so my girls are not those.

Poor little souls, have posted them found on ckcs forums.
Dog Wardendebbi
Yes caz that is the original post. 30 mins afterwards they were dumped by canal in my area.
Caz
I have found this on a FB site, from some one from the Harefield area. This is Rickmansworth area...

Two men brought 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels into the shop this afternoon. They said they were 13 months old and that they had bought the from Gumtree for £600.00. The 2 frightened little dogs were well over this age. Elderly, but in good condition. Both had had dental work done, had been groomed, about 8 weeks ago, and the older bitch had an umbilical hernia. They looked like Mother and Daughter. The men wanted them bathed before they gave them to a relative. When we assured the men they were no where near 13 months in age they said they were going to return them to the vendor.
Please be on the look out for these lovely little dogs, they may be stolen.

Hope this can help to get these babies home.

these 2 are not the ones from stafford (lucy). i have just been on the phone to kent police and the incident reported in the paper has not been reported to them. I have also called ashford council and they have no reports about it either although they are going to track through their records. seems strange that these ladies havent reported this incident if they had their dogs stolen from them?
Dog Wardendebbi
thanks for info below - already checked re Lucy... the 2 from there are one blenheim and one tri colour. these are both blenheim. they were both scanned by me and vet and neither are microchipped. i will check out the ashford herald post and update. Very suspicious circumstances so am sure these girls were not in the possession of these men legitimately.

I found this post of 2 Spaniels being stolen however, it doesn't say what sort of Spaniels - might be worth the finder checking with the local police.
