Hello, I'm sorry that I've been off the radar for a while but I'm sorry to report that I found out last week that Rocky has actually been killed. I was called by a rail worker who found him near Dalston - he had been hit by a train. Completely devastated and can't believe that I'll never see him again. Thank you all for your help, suggestions and words of encouragement. At least now I know what happened to him and can try to move on. Dog Lost is a great site. Cx
Maryse
Maybe worth considering getting in touch with k9 tracker Jenny and her dog as she can track upto two weeks after the dog goes missing
Maryse
So sad there hasn't been any news about Rocky yet. Is there anything I can do to help, Posters , flyers etc?
Cherryjordan
I've looked at the photo on dogs in distress but sadly it's not Rocky. Rocky has a lot more white around his nose. Thanks anyway
Cherryjordan
Yes, Rocky is still definitely MISSING! I'm not sure why it says North East - must be a typo. I'd really like to know more about the Facebook photos. If someone could let me know that would be great. Thank you
Cherryjordan
Hi everyone, i'm sorry for my late response. It's been a very hard few days and I've found it hard to stay on top of everything. Alison, I haven't seen anyting from facebook - are you able to send please? I think you might have my wrong email address. Thank you Shelagh for putting up posters, etc. I'm so grateful for all of you help and to everyone else on Dog Lost xx
AlisonH
Had a reply from the owner and Rocky IS STILL MISSING.
AlisonH
I am trying to get hold of owner. Could mean that he was found in North East London.
mayjul
I am a little confused as it says area found is North East above...has Rocky been found? I really do hope so. If not, I hope he is found soon. xx
AlisonH
Thanks Happiness I have sent the details on to the owner.

Admin I've emailed a picture taken from Facebook , a dog that looks like this little one , can owner follow up x dogs in distress xx

Put up posters from Clapton pond down to waterworks leabridge road including marshes. Also had to replace some from lampposts that had been taken down. Posters seem to be taken down a lot,yes we not supposed to do bus shelters but also lamp posts ones removed. I know owner text me and said no more posters were to go up in mare street. ( council). It is not possible to check anywhere round station as right now they have road works right outside station and have a wooden fence surrounding it with loads of workmen etc. I don't know if it was there when rocky went missing but I'm guessing if lost he ran in station to get away from noise.

Owner, wher did Rocky escape from in the first place? They do try and get back there. Do you know exactly what happened? Thanks.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
How about just beyond the tracks, into the fields very close to tracks? ar they accessible to check? Along the route as you have said Shelagh, a couple of stops at least. Well done. If you do bus stops, they do tend to be removed so is there any way they can be put in the bus stops but inside below the glass so as only visible to public in the bus shelter? Depends on the type of bus stop, obviously. What a grand job. The other thing of course, is that someone has found Rocky and oblivious to the fact that it is the law to hand him to Dog Warden. So owner, keep those posters going up in prominent plaes like parks, shops, vets, per shops etc, Make Rocky too hot to handle. x Last edited: 2015-02-01 12:43:35 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

Replaced posters that had been taken down in bus shelters amhurst road, added a few more up to Clapton pond. Unfortunately had to give up then as tape couldn't stick to anything as raining too much. Hope to continue tomorrow ,weather permitting. Network rail will not walk track unless we have another confirmed sighting of him. However they said lines are checked routinely and no dogs have been reported.
Shelagh
I have some time at weekend so will help out owner. You can just ride overground train couple stops up and down to have an initial search of embankments etc. You need to do at least twice with couple of you to make sure not missed anything g

Please can we get help for owner in regard to Network Rail. As we know reports of dogs rarely get logged so we need assistance to get this checked totally. It is too hard for owner to have to fight NR as well as stressed looking for her beloved dog. We need to rule it out and cannot take NR's word for it util they have walked the tracks. Please can someone help Cherry? Thank you. x Meanwhile, we pray Rocky is having a rummage around the marshes and get loads of posters up at the station and the marshes. Please help!
Cherryjordan
It would be great if you could Tamara!
jason
can you help Tamara Davis?
Cherryjordan
Thank you all for your kind advice and well wishes. Still no sign of the little guy but I'm trying to stay optimistic. He's a clever pooch and I just really hope that he'll find his way home or be picked up by someone nice. I'm in constant contact with Network Rail and the Council and they tell me that there have been no reports of dogs on the tracks this weekend, so that's good. Going back to the station this evening to handout flyers and to see if anyone has seen him since Friday.

DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Thank you Shelagh. Is it possible he got to the marshes? If so that is a good thing. x
Shelagh
Check the trail walk, did have quick look on marshes but short of time for proper search.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Oh dear, I hate it when at a station/tracks. Owner please call Network Rail and The Londo n Transport train people/ You need to log with them about what happened and exactly where this occurred. You need to speak to all the drivers or at least give out leaflets and posters to them all on the platform. They can help by keeping an eye out for your Rocky. You MUST do this. You really need to make all the rail worksers aware of Rocky so they can help search, okay? Also, are the marshs close? Coudl he have got access from the tracks to the marshes? The other ting is, he will try and get back to where he was lost so you need to try and keep him away from the trains, so I would do the scentong away to a safe place to avoid the tracks. Emailed advice and scenting advice. x
Shelagh
Has owner contacted wardens hackney/w.forest,also network rail. I will go to the trail walk later that's bottom of homerton high street,Leyton end
