Update - the owner of this girl has now been found via the dog warden and has been reunited. The sad news is that they were also the owners of the black lab (82232), so mixed blessings.

any news on a owner ? the black lab also found in this area sadly deceased was taken to happy landings and will go to the vet in the morning in case a owner is found

She is identical to my own (male) dog, a Springer/Collie cross. His sister (and mum) are on a farm close to Alfred's Tower. I'm trying to contact the owner of his sister

This little girl was scanned this morning. The only inquiries I've had have been from the finder of the lab and lost & found dogs. It does seem likely these two were out together. I can't contact the dog warden until tomorrow as they don't work weekends in Somerset(!) Fingers crossed her owners show up tomorrow. She has very long nails - possibly farm dogs? happy Landings know I have her and have my name and address. Thought it would be nicer for to be in a home rather than kennels.

Update- both dogs have been scanned and neither of them are chipped 😔

What a pretty dog she is. There is a procedure for keeping a found dog with you Skylark which the dog warden will sort out for you.You have to keep her for 28 days, sign something to say you agree to hand her over to anyone who claims her and after 28 days you can either keep or rehome her.

There must be a connection to the deceased dog surely.

Hi skylark, happy landings shelter have said if you take her to them now they can scan her for a chip. It maybe that the lab and this dog got lost together, they have the black lab now and are currently scanning for a chip. Please get in touch with them if you can

There has been a dead Black Lab found by road at Cannards grave.finder has taken him to Happy Landings rescue for safe keeping, could these 2 dogs have been together?. finder has phoned the person who has this dog.

I've just had her scanned at Happy Landings rescue - she isn't chipped. She can stay with me for as long as she needs to. Will contact police and dog warden tomorrow.
