  • Where Found Found desceased in a layby on the Shifnal to Albrighton road. He was rolled up in a rug!

  • Other Info Found desceased in a layby on the Shifnal to Albrighton road. He was rolled up in a rug! NO one has so far come forward and council will only hold until tomorrow now so if anyone things the dog may be theirs need s to get in touch asap. A large black Collie type dog was also found on side of road in a nearby area two days later which later died at vets.(DL no 82221). Neither appear to have chips or tags. Sorry no other information and not likely to get any unless someone else has some. RIP

How awful, poor babies. Its very odd to be rolled up in a rug sounds dodgy to me. I dont want to assume anything buts its hard not to wonder what was going on here!! x

So sorry. RIP+ God bless sweetheart. amd have fun at the bridge. I hope the mystery of these two dogs can be solved, and hope it is nothing sinister. Does seem odd that two are found close. Is is possible that a vet can do a post mortem on these two dogs unless the cause of death is obvious of course? A~~~candle~~~burns for you.Last edited: 2015-02-01 12:39:21

Will post more info if /when I can get it. There are travellers nearby so don't know if there is any connection to them. Just worried in case someone as missing him as there is now limited time to collect the body.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
