I haven't been on here for a while due to circumstances but this has made my year seeing Mitsy is home, yay x
Annie
So pleased to see Mitsy is back home safely. Well done everyone x

Yayy. Not surprised they fell in love with her, she seems a super dog, but they really should have had her checked when they found her. Really hope they now give one of the (far too many!) abandoned staffies a new loving home!! Welcome home Mitsy! your family must be over the moon!xxx
Goldenfrodo

It`s wonderful that Misty is home. As for the people who had her, yes they should have taken her to a vet to check for a microchip. I know they got attached to her, but there are lots of staffies needing homes in animal rescue centres. Stay safe now Misty:-)xxxSorry I called you Misty. And it`s MitsyLast edited: 2015-02-19 19:39:40

So pleased to see that Mitsy is home. Was so worried about this lovely girl. (Wouldn't it be lovely if the dog in Wales, who looked so like Mitsy, could get a new home now?)Last edited: 2015-02-19 15:28:09 by redmonkey

I had a message to where MITSY was and passed details on. Finder/family have looked after her well and had fallen in love with her which is very common. They cried when MITSY went back home and passed on lots of stuff they had bought for her.

It takes just that one share to be seen by someone who recognises a new dog in the area and sometimes when they have been missing for a while.
Unknown
Perhaps they could give some help and advice to the owner's of Izzy (82954), or Jeff (81965), latest on Jeff's facebook page is that owners know who has him but they can't get him back.
Unknown
FABULOUS, well done everyone. xxx

May be worth paying someone to leaflet drop every door in the area she was supposedly seen. I lost a cat once and had 2000 leaflets hand delivered to 100's of houses. Someone somewhere will know something xx

lilmisslavo15, stay positive, you will hear something xx

Thanks for the alerts re found matches. Have spoken to owner again tonight and they have been followed up. Rooting for family to get that most important call.

There was a FOUND 09 Feb 2015 in L21 which owner has spoken to the Animal Wardens about and it has been ruled out as not MITSY.
redmonkey
Salford Dog Wardens have picked up a similar dog (they don't disclose gender) in Peel Green, Eccles. Worth a look? https://www.facebook.com/dogsinsalford/photos/np.115134814.1458941730/1042093985806062/?type=1&notif_t=notify_me

Thanks everyone for looking out all possible matches are being followed up by family who are doing so much to try and find their girl. Also thanks for all the shares of her poster and missing details and it is a very stressful time for them.

They have been to Leigh Cats & Dog's Home, Manchester Dog's Home and visited Merseyside Dog's Home to check if MITSY had been handed in.

PDSA have been contacted and the reported found dog checked out but it was a male. Family did not find this out until they actually went there.

I've redone a fb share post with more photo/s of MITSY.

Pounds for Poundies

There is a FOUND on the above site which looks very similar to MITSY. The kennels are down South and she is CHIPPED in the name of BLUE. I've done a photo of the FOUND and MITSY next to each other.

Spoken to owner and said the FOUND is NOT MITSY.

Family are following up any matches. Various size posters have been done and family are postering the area and handing out smaller ones also contacting vets.

Alder Vets and PDSA are emergency vets for the Liverpool area.

There is also a report of a dog being handed into the PDSA which is being followed up

It is also an idea to set up a facebook page, but posters, posters, flyers, flysers. So that people have the phone number there as soon as they have a sighting. Come on Mitsy, time to come home. xxx

Various size word doc posters emailed to owner and family. Smaller ones are ideal for handing out and posting door to door. If anyone is able to help with any postering please let us know and they can be sent to you. Thanks.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
lilmisslavo15 gutted that it has now been found out that she has actually not been FOUND. The search goes on. You and the family are doing great checking stray kennels and vets. Just need that one person to see her missing details and make that most important call.
Unknown
Don't despair lilmisslavo15, you will find her. Keep postering and getting her out there. Keep checking all selling sites and all kennels in case she has slipped through the net. Chip may have moved! xLast edited: 2015-02-04 17:08:36
lilmisslavo15
this is heartbreaking, as if we have been on a wild goose chase looking for her and was lead to believe shes safe and theres no such thing, apparently someone was checking her microchip details and clicked found dog instead of details ????
lilmisslavo15
still has not been foud someone has messed up on the system
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Things are going on behind the scenes and in contact with owner.
lilmisslavo15
were trying all the vets now but still no joy
Unknown
Have ALL the vets been called in the area?
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Have spoken to owner and given advice of who to contact. Info/Advice email sent to owner and lilmisslavo15 which includes places to contact and links to vets/rescues.

CHIP Co have a report of her being SCANNED LAST NIGHT (MON 2.2.15 AT 6.50pm). Family have been trying to locate where she has been taken if it was her. I've given them another number for the Out of Hours AW to try. Family have also tried Leigh Cats & Dogs Home but they said she is not there. Fingers crossed they get good news soon.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
