I just wish to point out that Ben is def a JR X parsons. This has been confirmed by owner as that is what the breeder of the pups told her. This is to avoid any confusion when identifying this dog as it appears another site has described him as a Dachshund cross. He definately has the long legs of a parson is taller than a JR and no way resembles a dachshund.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but it has been brought to our attention that a complaint has been made by a person claiming they have not been notified about Bens disappearance. We take this opportunity to point out that only REGISTERED members, organisations and helpers will receive email poster notification of any missing dog. The person that made this complaint is NOT registered on this website. Again apologies for having to post this message. Now lets get Ben home with his owner where he truly belongs.

Poor little darling. He looks so adorable. Kirsty, my thoughts are with you but like you say, you have so much more chance of getting Ben back now that doglost and helpers are on the case. Heard back from owner- the dog has been claimed but she says she now feels a little more positive as she was amazed to get feedback so quickly once the picture was up. Have suggested maybe contacting a paper to run the story. im sure her children are missing him. The more posters in the area he went missing - the better. lets hope the right person spots one !! CJ.

Just noticed that owners phone number is a Thanet area code and this dog was found in Thanet - will try ringing owner.

The following post was made on a dog forum I belong to. The road this dog was found on leads on from Faversham where Ben went missing from but is a fair distance away. I thought it worth a try though. I can't get hold of the lady who posted the found details in order to get a description of the found dog and didn't want to waste time waiting for her to get home. The following has permission to be cross posted : My brother-in-law found a Jack Russell Terrier on the Thanet way today, between Herne Bay and St Nicholas at Wade. If anyone has lost a JRT, or knows of anyone who's lost one in this area, can you please contact Margate police station, Fort Hill, Margate CT9 1HL. 01843 222089. Photo arrived ! Please can all local helpers start a poster campaigne. Anyone local would they please make sure that local vets get a copy of the poster and if possible check back on their records incase a 'new client' has been taken on. Someone may have taken him in as a stray not reaslising he is a missing pet. It has been a little while but not too late so lets start jogging peoples memories and poster poster poster. THANKS C.J.

do you know if owners have postered Oare near faversham? as that is more or less at the end of that road. there are also lots of wooded areas around there, plus lakes where you normally get a few fishermen. i don't live that way anymore or i could offer help. there used to be travelers in conyer, but i don't know if they are still there. mandy x

Picture on phone camera to be emailed to me as soon as husband gets back poss today. MORE INFO RE THIS DOG]> dog dissapeared from secure garden where he was with a golden retreiver while owners packing up to move house. They moved 2 days later to Ramsagate- hence the difference in phone codes. The dog is missing from Whiting crescent- Bysing wood area- this may mean something to any helpers with local knowledge. As soon as picture is on site i will ask HQ to email local helpers in the hope this may jog some-ones memory. C.J.
