- Following reports of a little grey pony tethered by the roadside in Leicester, police and RSPCA have checked and it's not Sam
Thank you on behalf of the owner for local people being so quick off the mark and making this pony known and still thinking about him. People on DogLost Leicestershire Facebook group have been amazing trying to help
So at the moment Sam is still missing but please keep vigilant. - 2015-03-16 15:19 sophiesuds

- Already shared tweeted and supported his Thunderclap....
I really hope some news will come from that and his poor owners must be going frantic so thinking of them xx - 2015-02-09 21:51 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
- Thanks Ellie, He looks bigger, so I was thinking possible that owner had described him as a miniture when he wasn't, perhaps when talking to non horsey people. 2nd pic is great as these marks are unique and hard to disguise too. I'll spread the word.

- Owners are being interviewed tomorrow at their field by Radio Leicester
Please help get the word out everywhere in case he has been moved out if the area - 2015-02-08 19:51 Ellie
- Thanks Bobble - Sam is a British Miniature Spotted Pony (solid colour without spotting out). He is measured in inches because of this but would work out to be about 8.2 hh. I have added a second picture, which you may need to refresh to see, showing his muzzle markings. Hooves pale I believe.

- Sams theft is now in the Leicester Mercury, I do hope this brings news
Bumping again due to media coverage Last edited: 2015-02-08 19:52:20 by Ellie - 2015-02-08 16:42 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
- Any chance of height in HH? Also could someone do a close up off face for second photo? It does look like he has a pink spotty muzzle which is quite distinctive and may help people searching. Also, any other distinguishing marks? For example are all his feet pale coloured? Once I know the size of pony, I'll alert the horsey people I know.

- Sorry to see that PONY SAM STOLEN is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (82449)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
