From Dolly's family "For all of the wonderful people of Seaford and beyond who have been out searching, spreading the word and offering us words of support and advice, we would like to say a huge thankyou you have been amazing, the amazing voluntary organisations , waifs and strays...dogwatch...lost pets...and many more... we can't thank you enough.
Sadly our greatest fears were realised when we received the call that Dolly had been found washed up on Seaford Beach. We are obviously devastated but comforted that she is at peace and we are able to say our goodbyes. Again thank you all so much for your time and thoughts, you did Dolly proud x "

I can only add my thanks to all who helped with the search for Dolly. Not the ending that her family and we wanted.
My thoughts go out to Dolly's family at this sad time. R.I.P. Dolly

No news at all, Linda. Lots of shares and everyone is still looking, but I've not seen any reports of sightings or any updates. I hope the family know we're all still looking for Dolly xxx
Linda
Is there any news on Dolly? Have you been able to check the undercliff? Any news would be lovely.
Linda
I have also been looking and calling. If you think she may have gone down a hole have you tried the ones under the apple tree where there is still part of a concrete bunker as you go across the footpath from the Western side of the golf course just as you emerge from the bushy enclosed part of the path on the right hand side. There is still hope as a couple of dogs that were lost in Bishopstone some years ago were found after three weeks, sadly one of them was not alive, but they had gone down a fox hole. I do hope you find her, I will keep looking.

Sadly, I don't know anything other than what is on Lost Pets Seaford and Surrounding Facebook page - that the owners had been in touch with the groundsmen, and were arranging for Tigga the tracker dog to go to the GC earlier in the week. That's the last we knew. I'm sure everyone's still looking/calling out for Dolly when they're out and about, and I've asked a few shops in Seaford to put up posters (Tesco said they would and then didn't!) but there's no other news I know. Not giving up, though! Will be out again at the weekend xxx

Marie-Claire & Clarkey - any updates on Dolly - things seem to have gone quiet sadly

Has someone heard Dolly down this hole or is this just a suggestion??
If it is on the golf course then you would need to ask the groundsman to help (hopefully that has been done already) You may be able to hear Dolly if you try listening when all is quiet around the area. Try calling down the hole or if there's another dog that Dolly knows that could go there try that .. sometimes if you get a doggy friend excited enough to bark this will encourage a lost dog to make a noise too.
If Dolly likes playing with squeeky toys then try using that too.
I have had a msg to say that the tracker lady has already contacted Dolly's owner with advice but I think they are away and not in the area at the moment. Last edited: 2015-02-10 21:56:09 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Apparently she may be trapped down a rabbit hole near the 11th tee. Arrangements are being made for a tracker dog to help, I think. This is from "Lost pets Seaford and surrounding" FB page x

No news of Dolly yet - have done several circuits of the area from Seaford Head to Stafford Road. Going up to Seaford Golf club today, as the new alert says that's where she knows. Will go back to Seaford Head this afternoon x

Hi - I'm hoping to help out in finding Dolly. Have shared her poster on Facebook, and also did a circuit with my dog of the golf course this afternoon, from 3-4pm. I called out for her in and around all the bushes up top, thinking she might have sheltered, but no sightings. Please get in touch/ let me know if I can do anything over the weekend x
