- My deepest sympathies to the owners. I hope you are able to lay her body to rest. Haldon Forest has bad memories for me - years ago, I lost my dog there. I did get her back, safe, 24 hours later and 10 miles away.

- Jasper, not stupid at all. I have alerted owner to your 2 messages below and hoping for some news.

- Think this might be a stupid idea but... If pip had a harness on and it has metal D rings on it ,would a really powerfull metal detector trace her? I know some of the very expensive machines can tell the difference between the metals and perhaps can detect deeper ?? Wouldn't be difficult to find someone with one?

- Is there any news on pip?just reading the posts below- my dog sometimes picks up the sound of moles underground. I would be happy to try her if other avenues have failed. ( no guarantees). My phone number 07795108397Last edited: 2015-02-14 22:43:14 by Jasper - Area Volunteer, Somerset

- Bobble you are quite right - Tiga can track to a badger sett but not much he can do when they are down. We had one recently where the dog was down the sett for 15 days and came out alive and well. Tiga is k9tracker not k9search

- you can get a long piece of hose and push down the hole to feel if he is stuck there , personally, although illegal I would have dug him out ...if you do hear him the RSPCA will come and help x

- I doubt Tigga would be much help at the moment? Pip was last seen going down a badger set. I have further advised owner about listening device etc.

- Too far away but just a few thoughts.. Go out tonight fora midnight walk or better still on bikes( you can cover more ground) and call as loud as poss. Shine a strong torch- it may pick out a pair of eyes. Enlist the help of a friend/ neighbours dog. Preferably one that will go off lead into undergrowth .Talk to the rangers and get them to spread the word and poster the area. Hope to see he's home very soon.

- Sorry to see that Pip is missing. I will contact owner with terrier specific advice later (when I get home). In the meantime, follow the link and print off loads of posters and put them up in the area, talk to delivery drivers and anyone you see.
Tiggypop: Pls could you contact owner direct on the number above to see if it is an area where you can help. Thanks. - 2015-02-10 22:14 Millie
