On Missing Cats and Dogs in East Lothian fb group....There’s a fox red Labrador been running around Haddington since Friday. No one can catch it. Poor thing is petrified, wet, dirty and freezing. It’s not interested in treats, and seems to be in flight mode.
I haven’t seen any posts about a lost dog.
It’s been seen all over the town. No one can catch it.
I’ve been out looking for a couple of hours but no luck. Going back out again later as the town was really busy with people and cars. I don’t think I’ll be able to catch it tonight but If we can find where it’s hiding out it’ll be easier to come up with a plan to catch it. Poor thing, needs to be clean, warm and fed 😢
Please let me k ow if anyone sees it. Thank you.

Update on FB
Following a very successful event last year, we are doing it all again, join us for a fun filled day to help raise some money for charity, whilst also raising awareness for Megan who went missing on the 9th February 2015 from her home in Bradford, her family are still out there looking for her and will never give up. we have Santa's grotto for the little ones with two paws and four paws, tea rooms, charity stalls, gift stalls, face painting and fun dog show. Please come along to support us and have a fun filled day out, its all indoors too so you don't have to battle the rain.

Please can someone get in touch with Megan's owner quickly, as this dog was saved from the pound and is now in rescue and up for adoption. They say she is not chipped, but chips can fail, we need to be sure it's not Megan, fingers crossed though that it is.

Seen on Facebook today, unlikely, but worth a thought maybe, AB55 (Aberdeen), B9018 2 miles north of Crossroads School, 9am Tuesday 8 September. A very bedraggled, small golden retriever type dog, believed to be a female was sitting/lying on the road. He/she is not injured, but is a very timid dog and, although several people tried for over an hour, he/she could not be caught. She eventually took off across the fields, hopefully to make her way home. Police and SSPCA were informed, but did not appear while the dog was there.

Found dog 90878 is Horncastle dog but sadly not Megan who is still missing. Her disappearance has been reported to the police & we have tried to get her story into the national newspapers but only the local one have covered it so far. Please keep looking out for Megan. There is a reward for information leading to her safe return. The people currently looking after Megan probably don't realise she is missing. If anyone thinks they might know where she is please let me know via admin. Many thanks x

Red lab butch for sale in Gainsborough on pets4homes website. Looks fatter than Megan, says she's KC registered, but no home check needed and even offers to deliver dog for fuel cost. Maybe worth checking, been on site for two days. I'm sure Megan is missing you as much as you are her, and I'm also sure your Father is trying help you find her too, in other ways, I do believe that's possible.

Four months ago today Megan went missing. I miss her barking in the morning to tell me it's breakfast time and her silly going round in circles with excitement. Can't seem to find your Facebook page. Can you have a look at Many Tears rescue as they have recently got a red lab bitch from a breeder who they have called skylar about the same age I think as Megan. Don't forget she may not look like your Megan as their photos are snapshots and if she's stressed etc will be if different to look at after this amount of time. Maybe worth a call. If she is from a breeder as stated in their write up may have given her up as she was spayed by you. Worth checking anyway.

There is a fox red lab female for sale on pets4homes website in Redcar Yorkshire, there are various pictures of the dog, but who is to say they are true photos? The asking price is £1050 . Don't know if you are aware of this one.

Megan is still missing and I believe she has been stolen as there is no trace of her despite thorough searches. Maisie is suffering deeply due to the loss of her big sister. Please be vigilant and check every similar dog that you see so that Maisie can feel happy and safe again. Thank you x

from facebook;;;;Possible sighting of megan yesterday somewhere near Denholme.. The person that seen her was driving between Halifax to Keighley. She was soaking wet please keep a eye out in Denholme and surrounding areas.

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (82872)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
• You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
• Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
• If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
• If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
• Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
