I think this dog has now been found as I spoke to Sling Kennels and the description fits. Dog not microchipped so we aren't sure an owner will come forward.
sharon
Do you think some one has managed to catch him has he come for any food since mon lunch?
I will walk my girls round in the morning first thing hope he's ok
Hammons
Still not found and hasn't been seen since Monday lunchtime so any updates on sightings would be welcomed.
sharon

Hammons
Thanks Sharon unfortunately I am at work tomorrow but my sister will be home around 3.30pm. We haven't seen him since lunchtime so hopefully he has some shelter tonight.
sharon

He has been spotted again in Pontshill at lunchtime today and we have put out more food. Dog warden weren't interested but a nice chap from Hollytree rescue centre said he may be able to get a feeding plate in a couple of days. Fingers crossed.

His own!

Hi, could anyone walk around the area he's been seen in with a couple of Labradors? He might be curious about 'his won' and get braver. Incidentally my labs love cheese, salami and sardines - all at once if allowed!
sharon
No I dont think so looking at the poster this is a young dog and i would reckon nearly pure lab but there might be a bit of Staffy looking at his face. He is very frightened but they are managing to get him to eat, hopefully they will get his trust soon Dog warden did not want to know apparently.

Do you think this could be Turner (see dogslost ID 83163) he went missing with Marble a Large Munsterlander 19 Feb near Mordiford. Please call his owner Caroline (details on Turner's dogslost page). Thank you.

It was by the large fields just down from Pontshill where there is a farm and a few houses. I am wondering whether he has a home as very thin. If we can catch him he might e microchipped.
sharon
Need to try and get him home he will only get 7 days in the pound have shared on local boards and facebook you could try Hereford and Worc animal rescue page.
sharon
where abouts are you seeing him i live near Pontshill travel the road twice a day would he come to anthor female dog do you think
Hammons
He has been seen today and we have given him more food. Still too nervous to catch and has no collar on. I have phoned police and will call dog warden in the morning. It's been raining today but he seems to have found shelter as was dry. Just want to know he is safe in a good home.
sharon

Hammons ring the Helpline (top right) it isn't one of those expensive lines as someone that can help may not see your post. There may even be a volunteer living nearby and they will know and contact them.

He is still being sighted but is wandering onto the A40 near Pontshill. Can anyone offer advise on how to catch him? Dog wardens are not open until Monday.

The best way to catch a dog sit down low
Food in hand let them come to you.
Labradors LOVE food something nice in the hand ready.
DO NOT make a grab for the collar.
If he allows you to stroke , go very slow to collar and hold.
Carry on stroking
Good luck
