- Just received a call from the owner and Asha has been found. She has lost some weight but is otherwise ok. Apparently Asha was handed in to the police station on Tuesday 24th but the officer dealing did not log the incident. The next morning when somebody went to feed Asha she escaped and has been on the run ever since. A very kind lady spotted her and called the owner who managed to stay calm and wait patiently until Asha recognised him. She has now been microchipped.

I just drove along the a78 from ayr and there is what is possibly a fox lying on the grass just at the 2nd slip road that leads to Irvine (one with the blue motorway signs). I hope it's not this wee dog but it was the pointed ears that made me think fox and when I came on here to mention it just in case I seen this wee dog missing in the area. I tried to get back to look but have my baby in the car and can't get stopped safely - hope owner can check it out and fingers crossed it's not the dog but I would rather have closure if it was one of mine x
I am not sure of the name of the exit but if you are driving from ayr towards Irvine on the 78 it's the second exit that's signposted Irvine. It leads to the roundabout that takes you either into Irvine or onto the A71 for crosshouse. Its the exit that has the blue motorway signs on it - that's how I always remember it. Just as you come onto the slip road up to the roundabout the animal is lying on the grass off the road on your left.Last edited: 2015-02-25 22:24:38 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland - 2015-02-25 13:53 Unknown
