From the owner: I am relieved and delighted to report that Ruby is back home, safe and unharmed, amazingly.

A woman spotted her from a train window trapped on a railway embankment and phoned me, having read about Ruby on Facebook. I eventually pinpointed the exact spot from the woman's description and could see Ruby from the other side of the railway.

A lovely man from Network Rail tried to coax her but she was so frightened that she ran away, along the train tracks through Tulse Hill Station. People were phoning me from the train, saying they could see her running along the tracks. Two more men from Network Rail advanced towards her from the opposite direction and eventually managed to catch her. The whole thing from finding her to catching her took over three hours.

Despite flipping into the air amid sparks when she touched a live rail on Monday morning, and despite being out all night with no food, water or shelter, she is as glossy, energetic and happy as usual. Completely oblivious to all the fuss she's caused. And my ten-year-old son is very happy to have his furry little sister back.

Thank you very much for your help!
