What a rollercoaster - I take it that Dinky is currently with the breeder or at some safehouse and not with owner. Anyway, it's great news that Dinky is safe and ditto other comments will just be pleased to see her back with owner and doggy friend. xx
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
I am over the moon to hear Dinky is out of the cold but very sorry that the circumstances aren't good for all involved. I hope there is a quick resolution very soon
LoopyLurcher
Very glad Dinky is safe and fervently hope she is back snuggling with her OWNER very soon! I don't do/understand facebook so hope this page gets updated (happily) when situation is resolved.
labradorloopy
What is the facebook page please?
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Ladies please ..you and probably us don't have all the details...and of course we will be here for advise and support...as always...but our main concern is Dinky is safe....and we cannot be seen to post personal details on Doglost...so have edited an earlier post...to protect doglost....But please believe we will be here for back up.....May I suggest you all move to FB to continue this conversation....as it obviously needs to be continued...tx everyone! again.
Seeks
Personally I am appalled.

Will pass that on Sophiesuds as it might be useful xx

Happiness yorkie lover xxx
SURLEY it's not civil if the breeder stole her from her home x that's theft x
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Have spoken to local co-ordinator and Dinky is safe....Tx everyone for looking and sharing. It looks as though this will now be a civil case and out of the hands of doglost....BUT Dinky is safe.

Sorry have taken off my post hope things get sorted soon xLast edited: 2015-03-06 18:31:09

I cannot comment at this stage, as still have to speak to owner to verify the legalities of them taking the dog back.
allimac
Bizarre. How did the breeder know, and why on earth do they think they have the right to just come and take Dinky? This beggars belief!
DogLostFergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall
Can't get any news on this just yet, but thank you Sophiesuds that is a very good idea re insurance. Hoping for an update and sending hugs to owner and Dinky who must be so confused right now. X
skyninchar
So is dinky going back to red x
sophiesuds
If this does become a legal case don't forget most home insurance policies now include legal cover for this type of thing, not sure about pet insurance, but maybe worth checking. Just so that you aren't put off with taking things further with breeders, but can't see how they have any legal right to dog knapp her. Feel for owners, really going through it all, especially with ill parent too.
skyninchar
OH NO, so is she now missing again, are the police involved, im confused.com
Rose
OMG, Stolen by breeder. Surely its nothing to do with them!! x
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Sadly Dinky has been stolen by the breeders. They went straight round to Sarah and took Dinky. Sarah is understandably distraught beyond belief.
DogLostFergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall
Just come on to see this wonderful news, thanks Max. Well done yet another farmer! Welcome home Dinky, you can all have a nice rest and pamper. XXX
BigGSDPatlucky
Brilliant that has made my day.
I did place Dinky on BIGGSD just in case and for people to share.
Sandra James
So pleased to hear he is back home - a huge relief!

Yay x
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Sarah couldn't wait to call me and I am so relieved to get a phone call from Sarah to say she had just got Dinky. All 3 are now snuggled up on the sofa. I was just going into Crufts for a rehearsal with our team - you would have thought I had just won Crufts with the smile I had. Well done everyone who pulled, out the stops to help poor Sarah after all the traumas enroute. Seeks so glad you eventually got the message lol!! Shame that the breeder was asking everyone to call themselves and not the rightful owner. Dinky was clearly glad to be back with Sarah as she rushed straight to her when she saw her at the farm. Says it all. Thank you so much also to the farmer who was so helpful.
AlisonH
Brilliant news I am so pleased she is safely home.
collieowner
Wonderful!! Some good news to start the day.
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
Sarah couldn't go this morning, but as it happens, she had a phone call from a farmer who had Dinky in his barn! She had wandered in, so he kept her there until owner got a taxi & went to pick her up. She is fine, a little skinny & a couple of scratches, but Dinky was so pleased to see her owner & the other dog :)

Thank you Seeks for all your efforts, sarah has tried to contact you this morning to let you know. xx
Sandra James
Will wait to hear from you tomorrow Seeks.
Seeks
Everyone we spoke to today have seen her at some stage but Moogie we need her to steady and get an established area as she is still very much on the move.....quite a big area still and moving further over. If she settles then we can try for a feeding place just now I left a few bowls in bits we would like her to stay in lol...Using feral cat trapping techniques lol.

There are a couple of willing folk one could really be helpful if Dinks stay that's side the other already is being but hasn't seen her today xx

Max and Sandra (I just realised who you are Sandra and already got your number lol Will text you in the morning my friend as its not too far from you) Dinks Mum isn't hugely well and I just wonder if she isn't too good could you spare an hour to stay with her and then drop her home? We can get her back over and stay with her in the afternoon but hopefully she will be ok in the morning. I just worry about her there on her own a little. xx

We stayed to well after dusk and its possible she was in the area as her brother kept barking up on direction but it was sop dark we just couldn't see what it was. The cloud stopped the moon.....

Jenny I think we will need your lovely lad and you....she really is on the move and we don't know where to start as we too far behind her xx

DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
I have offered to take owner in the morning, she will let me know. I think she may have a lift in afternoon. I am sure we can all take turns to help give her a lift. Sandra James, that is her contact number above.
Sandra James
To contact owner do I just ring the mobile number on the poster? Where does the lady live? I am around Friday.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Jenny that would be wonderful if you could come and help with talented Tiga! Could owner /helpers have bbq's in the areas she been spotted? Maybe around the garden she was seen in? Are locals willing to get involved if traps are maybe going to be used?
Seeks
Jenny that would be fantastic if we have got her as its a huge rural area xx
Seeks
Thanks for saying that Jenny and as of tomorrow its sorted ...... as long as it will keep running lol xx

If somebody can get Dinks Mum over there early tomorrow morning it would really help.....Its probably going to be just her and not the boy too. Then I got a car again so, hopefully, that will really help.

Loopy if I see her it will be hard NOT to tell her that!! I really feel for Dinky's mum and the breeder really does have no legal right. I think the DW has already told her actually xx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
This episode just cannot get any worse - at least you will have wheels tomorrow Seeks, bless you.
If Dinky is not home by the end of weekend I will go down with Tiga. We are committed to Crufts from tomorrow. Come on Dinky Last edited: 2015-03-05 11:49:08 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
LoopyLurcher
Perhaps the police could be asked to point out to breeder that taking without consent of owner is THEFT! Very sorry for poor owner who has had a terrible time with car crash, injuries & worst of all Dinky running off at scene! Breeder could be helping not threatening to steal the dog she sold. Wish I was nearer to help & not stuck at work.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Oh no poor owner. Totally understand re sightings etc.
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Seeks you are doing everything you can in the circumstances! Sandra that would be great if you could help out as owner is doing everything possible. Owner walked back last night from the last sighting after being out walking all day and she is diabetic so a bit worrying. Buses I gather only run weekly. Owner Is doing everything and she so desperately wants Dinky back with the brother who is pining so much. To make matters worse the breeder has decided she would like to have Dinky back and clearly has no right. The breeder is also out looking but with the intention of keeping her. If anyone can offer any help to owner that would be great. It is this reason that we are not posting sightings on here.
Seeks
Sandra bless you ....I just talked to Dinks mum and she can get over in the morning and I got the afternoon and evening covered for tomorrow but Friday isn't yet so could you help Friday please? xx
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
thank you Sandra that would be great if you could. Can you contact owner tomorrow please?
Sandra James
I am in PL26 and can help with lift if needed
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
You're amazing Seeks thank you :)
Seeks
Jenny I never felt so useless in my life!! Going to sort out something for Sarah at least getting home and me over there for tomorrow and will sort my own dilemma out lol

Come friday I will have something even if its very beat up xx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
If anyone can help with giving owner a lift at any time that would be much appreciated.

Good Luck she must be so scared bless her xx

Agree sitting or lying down will avoid spooking her + taking her mate along
Hope today is the day she goes home x
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
If you see her remember to stay low and not approaching her until she recognises you. Taking your other dog will help. Get her/him to scent the area too
allimac
great that you are onto her. Hopefully the scenting and food will keep her there, so she can eventually calm down enough to recognize her owner! x
Seeks
I really hope so too Moogie. It would be fantastic if she was home tomorrow

Did talk to Game keepers (there is a lot of game that way) as well but so many people have seen her the last few days...though one I kinda persuaded he had seen her and not (as he thought) an very odd shaped deer....I am sure that was her xx

DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Fantastic let's hope she shows herself tomorrow and she can be caught
Seeks
We been following her about the triangle but too far behind to actually see her our selves....Checked empty house gardens, outbuildings and called her brother but we were just too far behind her.

Got a farm with food and some of her bits where she been seen twice today.... The farmer is happy to help.

Knocked on all out lying doors and left fliers, put some posters in Gorran and just hope when Sarah goes back tomorrow she will be seen and comes home but will arrange a lift for Thursday and go over with her again Thursday xx
LoopyLurcher
I do so hope she'll let herself be caught by or in the morning x
Praps if Sarah lies down in the garden by a bowl of food Dinky would come & be caught?Last edited: 2015-03-03 21:20:09 by LoopyLurcher

Moogie, have advised re feeding station, Thanks
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
Sarah has been up there tonight, Dinky has been in a lady's garden, but runs away. Sarah has left scenting items & is going to return in the morning. There are lots of posters out.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
This may be an ideal place for setting up a feeding station. The food from the pub will entice her in. See if the pub are ok to help
Akamar Balla
Just want to say hope you find her safe XX I have a Dane myself and I have shared this on Facebook for you. All the best
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
Apparently the sighting is near the Barley sheaf pub & Trewolla farm. I left a message on Sarah's mobile on what to do if she spotted Dinky. Let's hope she is caught ( was on my way home from work)
ClaireC
And me with everything crossed. Good luck x
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Got absolutely everything crossed and waiting for good news. Good luck
LoopyLurcher
C'mon Dinky stick around so you can go home...
allimac
everything crossed!

Bit jarrered to say the least but was very lucky as I was going slow loll.....

Just had a call from Dinky's Mum...

THERE IS A SIGHTING!! 6 mins old and as soon as my lift arrives we hope to be lucky xx
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Thanks Seeks, not good about your car...hope you're ok. Thank you so much for helping Dinky and owner...I know she really will appreciate the help.
Seeks
Its all arranged Moogie.....I even have done my best to recreate the events to Dinky going missing by totalling my own car but got a lift and will still pick her Mum and brother up and get posters (be they not frantasticly printed ;-) ) an flyers out later today. Kinda been lucky really and least I didn't have to go to Plymouth .... well couldn't is nearer the truth lol xx

She has rung the farmers from the book but will call in to each as a lot are lambing so best to go see them......The dog warden rang her an hour ago so knows she is still missing and we will make sure we get the posters up to

Seeks did you say you could give owner a lift to poster area? if so can you contact owner asap about it please
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Spoken to Pirate fm and they anly read out on air from posts on website so I've added another post asking them to read out on air. I've also added post on BBC radio cornwall and pirate fm Facebook page
LoopyLurcher
Farmers phone numbers should be in local directory, unfortunately I'm out of area so can't help with contacting them. Has anyone contacted PirateFM & Radio Cornwall as daresay they'd help broadcast Dinky?Last edited: 2015-03-03 11:25:40 by LoopyLurcher
Red Alert
The accident happened at Gorran High Lanes Near a bungalow with Squirrels on the gate post. Google map link https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Cornerways+High+Lanes,+Gorran,+St+Austell,+Cornwall+PL26+6LR/@50.2602111,-4.8310725,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x486b6a0eaa184e83:0xc68473198902d2f3
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
I now have a number for the person who possibly saw Dinky so I will keep trying to get hold of him. The owner is unable to drive on doctors orders since the accident and does not have a printer. I have suggested that today she contacts people and shares on face book etc and also shares the Dog Lost poster as much as possible. Thanks Seeks for your offer to take owner to the area later today, much appreciated. Is there anyone that can also contact any farmers in the area.
LoopyLurcher
Has anyone emailed poster to vets + POs in area? I've just rung Heligan Gardens + the Pentewan + Heligan campsite (owned by same people) & emailed posters over. Hope she's found ok xLast edited: 2015-03-03 09:49:32 by LoopyLurcher

Thank you Jenny
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Ok PC has confirmed accident was on Gorrans High Lane near a bungalow with 2 squirrels on the gate posts.
Seeks
Jenny I can but got to be in Plymouth till round 3 but soon as I get home. Will pm my number OR the reception so bad I might not actually get on FB so we use my number for 63751 xx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
If anyone can give owner a lift tomorrow they would be very greatful and if possible would take her other dog who didn't leave her side and is missing Dinky. She is waiting for the PC to call her back with location of accident hen he starts a 10 o'clock shift.
Seeks
Max hope you feel better soon and will do them tomorrow just need to sort out where they are talking about. If its Mays down towards Gorran its self I can poster for Pup at the same time.

Will run off some flyers once the printer remembers how to actually print ....its getting better!! xx
Seeks
Bless you Jenny as if we had the first number after PL26 it would show where the accident and vans are xx
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
I have told owner to see if she can find out from police where accident was, the only other way is if she goes up there herself.
Seeks, i can't get up there tommorrow. I will try later in week, but have been ill, so have to be careful :(
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
I have also asked owner if she can find out where the accident was. Thanks Seeks!
Seeks
Max I googled it...bit further than the top bt but yep found it and will poster tomorrow for sure unless she found. Do you want leaflets too? Can call in and ask at the vans too if it helps xx
Seeks
Jenny do you know where they mean? There isn't a camp site on that bit....I sort of thinking Gorran High Lane on the main drag from St to St Stephens? Big hug to Tiga xx
Seeks
Lol didn't know about that page Max.....will add Pup too ;-) Just trying to get the printer to do colour as I have refilled it so often its got teasey but will sort it and get there tomorrow.....

You do mean the road from St A to St S don't you? Just didn't know there was a camp site along there but there is further over..... towards Mays?
I still having a row with the printer but its never won yet xx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Apparently the sighting was in PL26. Owner is going to contact the person who saw the dog and call me back as she is not 100% certain herself. Owner is unable to get back there until a friend can drive her tomorrow evening.
She has just called me back but has been unable to contact the guy but she said the person apparently said it was at Holiday Park near Helligan Gardens. She will text me as soon as she hears from him. Last edited: 2015-03-02 21:16:02 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
Owner has had a call to say that Dinky was spotted about 10pm near to a camp site (just after the accident), the signal was bad, but it could possibly be Helligan Holiday Park. Owner has phoned & left a message, but it was answer machine.

Thanks Seeks for your help. I have shared also to Lost & found pets Roseland group fb page
Seeks
Will do posters tomorrow Max.....Wont be till the late afternoon evening but will get them out as its about 6 miles. Will run a load off now and get them out after I done work tomorrow. Will check she isn't already found though xx

Have shared too

Dinky's owner can't remember the exact location of the crash, but she was on her way back from Caerhayes towards St Austell & it was at a junction ( she was knocked unconcious & went to hospital). She will only know the area when she can get back up there.
Her father is very ill & so cannot help. So if anyone can do posters in the area that would be great.
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
I have asked her to contact some friends who can help her, she was waiting for them to finish work.
I will try to find out the exact place where the crash was/dog went missing from.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Does the owner have family or friends who can help drive and put up posters? I hope she's found soon. Sharing on Facebook & twitter
Archsuzanne
Shared on Twitter , hope you find her soon xx

Thank you Max.
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
I have spoken to the owner, the dog went missing about 6/7 miles from home after being involved in a car crash ( he had 2 dogs, but the other stayed with her) She has not been able to get back to the area of the crash yet as she was unconcious at the time & has no car now.
I will email advice sheets.
Vets/dog warden etc have been informed. I have advised her to get as many posters up in the area as possible.
