Words fail me when I read what they did to him, a defenceless animal. Disgusted by what the judge passed down on them as a joke of a sentence, I only hope they are closely monitored from now on, as I fear this is not the last we hear of them. I am sure the owners are keeping Chuck very, very safe. He loves, and trusts them. And he knows they love him. Sorry that the owmers of Chunk did not get justice for him; but hey whats new?

This was a horrific case and I'm sure we all think that the youths' action was abhorrent. However, I would ask you not to name them on this page.

Not less than a disgusting outcome for this poor dog.The youths were old enough to know better and should have been locked up.Shame corporal punishment is not allowed.They had a slap on the wrist and I wonder if they next attack a child our society may think twice about "slaps" and inflict a punishment more fitting to the case.I am disgusted with the justice system.

The news was broken by Allyson King-Smith on her Facebook page. According to her post, this happened in Thanet, in the district of Kent, United Kingdom.

The dog was brought in at the Thanet anima hospital in a very poor state of health. It appears that the dog was wandering on the street where he was found by four teenagers – who got ahold of the dog and tried to have its neck broken. They sprayed it with deodorant and later set the pooch on fire.

When questioned about their actions, one of the boys claimed that the dog was laying ‘lifeless’ on the ground and they decided to ‘play with it’ and put the pooch to sleep.

Meanwhile, the dog has been transferred from the Thanet Animal Hospital to an RSPCA facility.

Please sign the petition and urge the relevant authorities to get involved! If there is confirmation that these teens are INDEED behind this (which all the evidence at this points suggests this), we, the undersigned, demand a stiff jail penalty! They need to pay for what they did to that helpless dog!
