- I have just got back in after quite a whirl. The finder had been looking after the dog for most of the day while waiting for the dog warden to turn up & had now to go to work. I arranged to go over & scan the dog as I thought it could have been Missy. Jackie her owner, also thought it looked like her. It seems there was a person who lived nearby who was the 'owner' but who hadn't been in touch with the finder despite having got the finders number from local shop. The finder was having to go to work & couldn't hang on to the dog any longer, so I went over to take dog to my vets to be scanned ( as my scanner wouldn't work when I picked it up). We checked the chip number & it came up as Jackie's dog, :)Jackie came to meet me & pick her dog up smile emoticon. It was great to see the smiles on her childrens faces & Missy remembered them & started wagging her tail like mad! Seems the person who did have her bought her just after she had been stolen from 2 Gypsies (her words). She was sorry that it turned out to be a stolen dog, but was happy the rightful owner was getting her back.

- Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about Missy. I saw her poster this morning but this evening, I noticed a Facebook post about a brindle lurcher-type dog seen running loose around Blisland. Very nervous and timid and so the person was unable to catch her. This person's FB settings meant I couldn't contact her directly to show her the poster but if you look at the 'Find Topesy' page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/findtopesy/?ref=ts&fref=ts, you will see the post, a little way down the page. From the posts underneath, it seems as if she works at the Blisland Inn. It might be worth checking. I really hope Missy is home soon.

- I can't say what I'd like to do to the 'person' who stole Missy grrrrr & have major sympathy with owner. If they can poster everywhere they can offering reward (along A30 petrol stations etc) it'll help make her too hot to handle. Sorry I don't have a printer so not much help.

- LoopyLurcher, thanks for adding to Lurcher Link. Have put your suggestions to the owner. Breed now changed. There is a crime ref no. and she is microchipped.Last edited: 2015-03-03 14:02:48 by Fergal - Area Volunteer - Cornwall

- I meant the number of 'white van worker' if owner can ask around. Someone knew she was there & may have been working in the village? I have posted link on lurcher link so more people can keep an eye out. Have any travellers been seen in vicinity lately?Last edited: 2015-03-03 12:36:35 by LoopyLurcher

- LoopyLurcher. I will check back, re the breed description, it was a friend of the owner who gave information. Thanks. There are 2 telephone numbers, do they not come up on the page?
- 2015-03-03 12:10 LoopyLurcher
- Have any white vans been lurking in vicinity recently or a neighbour having work done by someone interested in lurchers? Just thinking if there was a phone number to call a reward could be offered if they had 'seen' & located her?

- I will keep my eyes peeled, hope she's found safe x
