- Whoo hoo! So pleased for you and I agree that it sounds as if they had been down in hole! They did what most dogs will do and didn't go to far from where they were lost.
Well done and I'm sure you and they will have a good night's sleep at last! - 2015-03-08 17:39 alikat
- Brilliant news Tuppy! I'm so pleased for you and I expect your boys will sleep very well after their big adventure. Wonderful that they stayed together through it all too. xx

- I cant believe it but both Mungo and Ted have been found, safe and well in woods merely a quarter of a mile from where they disappearead. Five nights and five days and there they were happy and having a lovely time. However, it was fairly obvious that many a meal had been missed as both dogs pretty thin. I want to thank you all for your kind comments and words of hope which helped to keep my going. It is the best feeling in the world to have my two boys back who are now sleeping soundly on the sofa!! Thank you all once again, miracles can happen and dreams do come true xx

- Hi Tuppy, I'm so sorry there hasn't been any sign of your boys yet. I hope you've managed to contact K9 tracker Jenny because, even if she's too busy to come and help with the search, she has so much knowledge to share with you. Don't forget to post on here if you want to organise a search party or need some help with posters etc. I would be happy to come down from Dorking to help - my little Border Terrier always enjoys taking walks in new places.

- I have added that information to this page for you tuppy.
Thanks for your reply to my email and well done postering.
If your boys have been taken then it is very important to poster everywhere in the area they were lost from and along the route to your home (especially anywhere they may be familiar with) .. you need to make them too hot to handle.
If you are going to get an organised search together please let us know. You have offers of help on this page so would be a good idea I think.
Good luck. - 2015-03-06 08:22 tuppy
- Once again thank you to those out looking and for all advice. I am beginning to think my boys may have been stolen which fills me with such horror. I am going to offer a reward in the hope that if someone does have them it might persude them to give my boys back. x

- I'm sorry to hear that you have not found Mungo or Ted yet.
Thank you to all who are supporting and helping Mungo and Ted's owner.
tuppy: I have sent you a couple of emails with some Doglost advice. Hopefully it will help you.
Please make sure that you have got as many posters up in the area as possible. that way if someone has seen them they will know who to call and you will get an idea of where the lads are.
As you think it's possible Mungo and Ted may try to make their way home, then please poster anywhere and everywhere along the route that they may take. If there is anywhere in particular along the route that they are familiar with (walks you have been on) then put lots of posters up in that place.
Best of luck with your search.

- Hi there - so sorry you have lost your boys. I took my dogs for a walk in this area today and drove all down Mill Lane and then up and around the church grounds; no luck I am afraid. I am going to Petworth tomorrow so will keep an eye out on my travels - keeping everything crossed. Did you think they just wandered off - not stolen? Really hope they come home safely soon xLast edited: 2015-03-05 19:30:13 by Cranfordlass

- I've just been for a walk around the back of Sydenhurst House , down to the ponds and up through the fields to Blackdown and down to the village & back up Mill Lane.No news I'm afraid . Is that the area the dogs were lost in ? Hope you get good news soon .

- Thank you all again for your lovely kind words and advice. I will get in touch with K9 Tracker Jenny. The police have been so sweet and are doing their best. I have had friends and family out looking blowing whistles etc. but it is possible they might try and find their way back to Petworth. It is a little like looking for a needle in a haystack but I have hope, I will not give up until they are back safely with me. x

- Sharing for you on facebook pages - is there any chance they would have gone down a hole after rabbits etc. and got stuck ? Just a thought but I am sure K9 Tracker can give advice and help. Really hope they are soon found. Julie x

- It might be worth contacting K9 Tracker Jenny, as with her two lovely beagles she has great success in finding missing dogs. http://www.k9tracker.co.uk/

- So sorry to hear that Mungo and Ted have gone gallivanting. They wouldnt have tried to get home would they, from Chiddingfold? I suspect they're still around Chiddingfold - leave something that smells of you plus food & water; even urine (for your smell) in the area that went missing. I've shared on FB Elstead & Godalming Hang in there x
- 2015-03-04 09:25 tuppy
- Thank you all for your kind comments. Mungo and Ted have now been missing for 2 nights and I am utterly heartbroken. I live on my own and my dogs are everything to me. Going home is awfully hard, lonely and quiet. My boys went missing from a property called Sydenhurst, Mill Lane Chiddingfold on Monday lunchtime. This is where I work but I live near Petworth. Thank you all for any help you are able to offer.

- Any more detail on precisely where they went missing? I'm in Chiddingfold outskirts and will be hacking out later today so can cover a lot of ground
