- This is happening more often with SDK found dogs! I wonder if they actually do scan them at all. Welcome home Lila.

- I agree with collieowner's comment, that Lila's owners should not have been charged or, at least, just charged a small 'admin' fee (SDK and the Council must be raking themoney in!). Just loved the 'Reunited' photo - clearly Lila's is much loved family member. Welcome home Lila.

- I am so pleased you have your girl home. I did ring to pay and you were on the other line so they would not accept payment at that time then I had to go out...Just got home to see Lila is in the blue. Take care and all the best from me and my eight paws🐶
- 2015-03-30 20:58 collieowner
- Glad she's home Bill but I feel the dog warden didn't do the job properly and in this instance shouldn't have charged you!! That's my opinion anyway. Enjoy your dog, they are so precious and you obviously love her.

- Not the first time we have heard this they should scan the whole body , unless the council is hard up and trying to make money !!! opppsss did I SAY THAT?lol
So pleased she is safe with you now Bill, get her a tag for her collar too though doubt if you will let her out of your sight now x - 2015-03-30 18:39 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- What using the same scanner? almost about to mis spell and say scammer! Ouch anyone in admin who thinks that's too strong a word you can "pink me"...ie delete my message.
- 2015-03-30 18:37 duffs54
- So glad you have Lila back she is a stunner xx
- 2015-03-30 18:35 Bill44
- No they didn't find a chip until they were going to chip her for me, they told me the chip must of slipped! And all his contact details came up then.
- 2015-03-30 18:31 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Over to blue for you.....Chipped and not scanned? worrying.....Has your family friend changed her contact details? this is something all us dog owners need to look into...tx for the update.
- 2015-03-30 18:21 Bill44
- I am the owner of Lila, thank you so much for all your messages and kind offers to pay, but I borrowed some money. I have just collected her and as we were leaving they offered to chip her and discovered she is already chipped to the previous owner, who is a family friend. So it seems she wasn't checked by the dog warden when she was picked up!! And we would of had her back straight away if my friend had been notified. Thank you to Doglost you do a brilliant job and I would rather have given you the £77 fee. Bill

- aw brilliant .thanks Jayne for letting us know , it always seems a shame when people cant afford the fees and they lose their pets..... always seems pointless as they cost more to keep in kennels xx

- Update from owner...he is on his way to collect Lila and will send an update photo later. He managed to loan the money from friends and family but was extremely touched by all your kind offers to assist.
- 2015-03-30 13:24 Unknown
- I too will pay £10
- 2015-03-30 09:38 kjane85

- The fee does go up every day as well...
- 2015-03-29 21:17 Chris63
- Me too will add another £10 to let this man have his lovely dog back. X
- 2015-03-29 21:16 Bo
- When we have paid for SDK dogs to be release previously (I paid for a homeless mans dog about a year ago) - you ring hannah on 01803 696910 - she will take your details (phone number etc) and someone from accounts will ring you back to take payment. The council contract out to SDK who cover stray dogs in that councils area. Once payment is made, depending on where the owner lives, SDK will drop the dog off back to the owner.
- 2015-03-29 21:12 AlisonH
- We don't have the owners details. I will email the person who registered Lila.
- 2015-03-29 20:37 Jinny
- I will add another £10 x
- 2015-03-29 19:30 kjane85
- Sorry Lila not Lily...no specs!
- 2015-03-29 19:28 kjane85
- I am happy to donate £10 if you can find another seven to do the same, for goodness sake poor Lily should be with her owner providing DW thinks all OK....tell me where to transfer money to 🐶 x
- 2015-03-29 18:30 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Payment is £80 something pounds...
- 2015-03-29 18:04 Unknown

- 2015-03-29 15:45 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Thank you have spoken to owner with your kind offers....he feels he will be able to talk to the dog warden tomorrow and sort out a payment in instalments...and thanks you very much for your concern...he assures me he will post soon...I have his number...
- 2015-03-29 14:21 Bo
- Ring Hannah on 01803 696910 tomorrow and she will tell you how much the cost will be to release her
- 2015-03-29 14:12 Zah
- What is the release fee please ?
- 2015-03-29 13:44 wibble58
- yes, how much is the payment?
- 2015-03-29 13:41 Mac
- I agree how very sad, our little dog is currently missing which we are devasted about. How much is the payment?
- 2015-03-29 12:19 Emmaloux
- I am happy to contribute to the payment for the owner. I lost my little dog a year ago and there is now speculation he was stolen. If I can help someone to not be without their friend I am more than happy to do so.
- 2015-03-29 12:10 susieq666
- This is sad. How much is the payment?
- 2015-03-29 10:58 collieowner
- Good grief can't something be sorted for this poor dog. Wish these councils could be a bit flexible. The dog looks in reasonable condition so should go home. Hope common. Sense prevails and something is done.
- 2015-03-29 10:13 Rose
- If this is the case for phone number on collar, its a shame dw didnt see it at the time. Very sad for owner that they cannot afford to make the payment. Being m/chipped would have been a cheaper option. x
- 2015-03-29 10:11 Unknown
- How sad .cant they do a payment plan if he wants him back? There are enough dogs in rescue as it is
- 2015-03-29 09:40 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Owner has seen lila on dog lost and phoned council but they wont tell him where the dog is as he cant afford to make the payment, dog did have telephone number on his collar but on the inside.
