- Fantastic news 😃 Alison thank you so much for your text to let me know.
Sam was found flagged out on the back step of the lodge in Hampreston where he had previously been sighted. He's tired and bewildered but otherwise seems ok. He's off to the vets for a check up.
How he's not been spotted over the weekend by all the fabulous people who have been out searching alludes me !
Time now to settle in to your new home Sam. It's very evident that both your previous owner and your new owner do love you very much and have searched tirelessly for you.
Stay safe handsome boy and be happy xxx - 2015-03-30 11:38 AlisonH

- Where did Sam live before? Is it possible that he could be trying to return there?

- Thank you TreadSoftly and to everyone else who have been doing all they can to help search today. There have been no further reported sightings since 11am this morning. Having checked the location of the last sighting and how accessible it is to Ham lane itself it's very possible Sam may have recrossed the road and headed over into the fields back on the opposite side of the road , and which all lead back to where he first went missing.
Posters have gone out and SAMs owner intends to get more out tomorrow so awareness will be spreading.
We now have the microchip number which I have added to his page.
Come on Sam, time to show yourself so we get you home safe x - 2015-03-29 16:53 TreadSoftly
- Sorry Gnasher, I had to leave about 4.15. We walked about halfway up Stapehill Lane and down some footpaths off, in case he had crossed the road again. Just keeping everything crossed that he shows up at one of the houses looking for food :-(

- Spoken with Gnasher on FB. Heading down to Hampreston Lane with Beth Lab in about 10 minutes
- 2015-03-29 11:56 TreadSoftly
- Would he be more likely to approach if there was a dog to come up to? I know our Beth won't go to strangers but will be happy to go to a dog. I'm happy to bring her up and help with the search if you think it would help?

- Sams new owner has now been able to contact his previous owner who has agreed to travel to the area to help with the search.
A new sighting was made about 45 minutes ago in the garden of Hampreston Lodge , so we now know he's still out there and the people in the van were not successful in catching him - 2015-03-29 11:01 Dennis The Menace

- Do we know if the sighting of him being picked up in a van is true? And if he is injured maybe it would be a good idea to contact all out of hour vets in surrounding areas in case he was handed in
