Delighted to see that Dexter has been found and is safe now. Well done to all who helped find him.

So glad he's home - and whilst it is unfortunate that he got out, I think a well done is in order to the kennels, for doing the right thing in trying to find Dexter, and contacting owners. There have been a few less scrupulous boarding kennels in the past that have not done so!Last edited: 2015-04-03 18:23:15 by Lissy

What great news..obviously boarding kennels not up to his standard lol Stay safe now Dexter xx

What a relief for his owners, they must be so relieved he has been found.
I know exactly how they must have been feeling as my 2 dogs escaped from home not kennels when I was abroad. Luckily for me they returned unharmed themselves. It's the helplessness being far away.

Excellent news x

Thank goodness!!! So pleased that Dexter has been captured and that's he's none the worse for his mini adventure. Poor lad - he must have been so scared out there all by himself. Nice name though (we've got a Dexter as well - a NZ Huntaway!). I do hope that the kennels are reviewing their security arrangements i.e. 3 locking entrances before the main way in (if that's how he escaped), That's always the first thing I used to check when I was forced to leave our dogs in kennels although can't bear to do so now and so rely on days out or hire cottages where dogs are welcome! But finally, welcome home lovely Dexter!

These new sightings have been posted on the link to Dexter's page on Doglost South East (5pm Wed):
Dexter has been sighted three times in the last half an hour but no one has been able to get him. He is in the Ashingdon road, rectory road area. He is wary if men. If you're in this area please keep your eyes peeled x

I have emailed our Doglost advice to help and also bumped this page due to sightings. Last edited: 2015-04-01 20:25:02 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Dexter escaped from ashingdon heights boarding kennels. Owners have been alerted and are cutting their holiday short and flying home to find their boy. Hoping for a photo upon there arrival. One reported possible sighting was on Sunday where a dog fitting Dexters description was seen around the Canewdon area travelling towards Doggets area in Rochford
