Have just had a message to say that Frank is home safe now.
Many thanks to the kind dog walker who took him to check for a microchip.
Frank is very, very quiet, is quite fat but looks healthy so that's a relief.
Well done to Sara for making him too hot to handle. Unfortunately Millie has not been found yet although person who found Frank is sure it was her running around with the other dogs she saw.
Putting this page into reunited and hoping Millie will be home very soon. Last edited: 2015-05-06 01:44:09 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

I have just had a message from Sara the owner of Frank and Millie who says that someone in Thamesmead has found Frank today. He is in safe hands and she is on the way up there to collect him. Apparently Millie was seen by the same person who caught Frank and Sara is goin to try and catch her when she arrives up in Thamesmead. I have emailed our Doglost advice on this in case it helps but she has her other dog that was not stolen with her so hopefully Millie will go straight to them.
I have got EVERYTHING crossed that Sara is able to catch Millie!!
I will update this page when Sara has confirmed that she actually has Frank.

Thanks TK .. I have messaged the person who left the post to see if they can tell us what size, colour the dog they saw was.

I have spoken to Frank and Millie's owner.
There were 3 dogs in the horsebox .. 2 went missing, presumed stolen as there was no way that they could have got out on their own. Although it's possible that someone opened the door on the horsebox and they ran off before they could have been picked up. However, I think it's best to make them TOO HOT TO HANDLE as they may have been stolen.
Dog Wardens have been notified and local vets. Posters have been put up, owners have been and are still searching for Frank and Millie with their other dog that was not lost. They were going to give us an update on here but can't log in. (I have suggested they email admin to try to sort it)

I have shared to Doglost East Sussex, Doglost South East and lots of Fbk pages for lost dogs in the area and also to horse pages. Local farmers have been told that the 2 dogs are missing as have the few households in the area.
There was a possible sighting yesterday and owners went to look but no luck.
I would suggest posters should go to Jasmine Tea Room, the Garden Centre and Willow Cafe in Lower Dicker if not already there. Also to the Village Shop and the Plough pub in Upper Dicker. Might be a good idea to put posters outside the 2 schools there as well (Bede's Senior School and Park Mead) as children are good at spotting dogs.
If they are running around let's hope they stay away from the A22. I have advised that local Highways Dept should be informed.
Hope Frank and Millie are found soon.

There was a sighting of a deceased dog along the A27 near to the Long Man Wilmington turning yesterday.. It was posted on doglist east sussex fb page ...originally thd lady thought it was a fox but then noticed it was wearing a blue collar, she couldnt stop, but today has tried to ring dog warden for that area ..
I have just had a look on here ti see if any missing dogs near to the area, and saw this one and as his collar looks bluish I had to post just incase ..
