Bovingdon Market is a problem for publicity. I have twice taken teams up there and we have been forceably ejected at least once for leafleting cars. They have no reputation to protect, so I can't even use that as leverage. The best method I have employed there was to have someone walking up and down with sandwich boards. It's effective and they couldn't throw the helpers out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could I just say to help those who are searching web pages. Fly is a small 16" 17" inch whippet, she is a blue fawn whippet, so she looks a dirty kinda fawn!!! no insult meant. She is VERY VERY timid, with no scars that we know of in January when she was taken with her Brother. We so need to help this little girl, a timid Whippet has such a sensitive soul, not a tough breed at all!! as some may think. Please do try and put all you can into this one. There is a reward!! Have just looked on a website for Whitehall Rescue who feature a fawn coloured whippet they have called Grace. To me looks similar to Fly and she was also found in a disgusting emaciated state etc like your other dog. Maybe a long shot but please have a look as they also say she is the same age too. Unfortunately Fly wasn't featured on there tonight. I am so sorry, and what a disappointment for Fly's owners. Jayne was brilliant and spoke so well as usual. A very good piece of publicity. However, is there any media publicity we can do for Fly now Nik, as we are having a poster blitze at the moment. We've got the news of Mister to make a real story and we've been working really hard on this. Cant we get some media attention please? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there. I agree regarding the posters!!! I have seen only a handful, except mine that went up, blows down, harpenden, St.Albans, Stopsley by the leisure centre!! and near to the horse owners! her hum. Not saying at all we are not doing what we say we are, as I know you are all as dedicated as each other, but is someone taking them down. I did the main streets in Stopsley outside the camp, on their jeeps!! and where they feed the lovely coloured horse on the hill, plus the park at the back of the leisure centre. I will go back and look! CCTV sadly only went as far as the tennis courts I was so upset. Did find a lady that knows the school, she has a whippet and the children keep saying "e dad ud like your dog lady" hoping to gain their trust to find out if they have a new brown one!!! you never know. apart from that nothing new. Owners are aware that we a re postering heavily and be prepared for calls, they will come in................. please poster as much as your drawing pins will let you, even if they are only half size or black and white as I know it is expensive, but please, it is the only way to make this dog hot!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Know guy's I am off this evening to look at some CCTV in the area that Mister was found!! I really hope to see the culprit and hope and pray that fly may of been with him. The whippet found today does need checking out. Perhaps the owners will ring with any distinguishing marks. Anything is worth a go Gynafon, she could have been moved from area. Have had another lovely Email reply today from Woodside Animal Farm. The office manager has displayed a poster in their display board. Also have heard again from Acorn dog Training. The lady is going to put a poster in her local pet shop for us, and will ask the people to keep an eye out. Also she has asked some Bedford contacts to display posters in their local pubs. The only thing I can think of from this distance is massive newspaper coverage of before and after of Misty wherever and whenever we can get it-local and national, TV Radio etc POSTERS of couse in area where Misty was found maybe as well as where lives and between. Any guesses as to where Misty has been? Any clues when found? Animal communicator? Hell worth a try-what have we to lose. Lottie's owner knows a really good one who was very accurate so it turns out. I know there are many sceptics and maybe many fraudsters but there is more in heaven and earth than we mere mortals will ever know and personally I would give anything a go after seeing Misty. That sounds so rude to the genuine people who are communicators/psychics and not meant to be at all, but as in all walks of life it is the fraudsters who get the rest a bad name! Bit too far for me to help with postering but please tell me what I CAN do and I will do my best. . . . Eastern Dog scene is a geat idea-and all other sites in creation I would have thought!! Could we get dear Paul O'grady to do an appeal or something? Would the before and after pictures amalgamated at bottom of Fly's poster help? We could then get the local papers to take an interest in our area maybe and get this out Nationwide. Because unfortunately Fly will have counterparts across the country and in finding her maybe we can get public to find others too. Plus we cannot be sure that she is in the same place as Misty.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pleased to see there is a nice peice in the Dog World newspaper today under the whippet breed notes which appeals for help in finding Fly and Mister and it also gives some well earned publicity to DogLost. Lets hope the whippet people can spread the word and help get these two back. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hopefully the people who have your girl will soon realise she is spayed and let her go. You must be missing her terribly and whippets love their home comforts. Checking every day. God Bless, the Beddie Lurchers XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
