Will put some posters up in Harvington (beckenham) and Elmers End today in case she comes back down this way. Karen
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
areas checked this morning for over 2 hours as with this heat any missing dog tends to be more active at dawn and dusk.Monica has pleaded for help with posters as she is going what she can but if others did this for her it would help immensely. someone has offered to do gypsy hill but need penge and bromley areas as well just in case moves and also so that everyone is aware if spotted.
Unknown
we are all anticipating your safe return skye, and your owner isw desperate for your safe return.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Excellent. Well done all. Keep those posters going up within a 3 mile radius of the park then, as that should cover the most likely mileage based on what Monica has sussed out. You are doing so well out there. Bless you. x
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
The longest distance she has travelled from home when she was in Jews walk is 2.2 miles! The closest she has been when she slept at the beginning of Park Road on Sunday night it was 1.4 miles. She is trying to come back and staying closed since Friday.
Unknown
all xd for her safe return. comde on skye get sighted, and reunited. Thanks for updates everyone.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Ok we need to have posters out. We need any volunteers willing to come out at any time during day or afternoon to put posters up. We need posters to get a sighting again. Although I am impressed by the number of strangers which I met and they already knew about her. Area from Jews Walk to Crystal Palace Park down to Penge neeed covering. Posters to be put in busy locations like bus stops, entrance of parks etc. There are a lot of flats on the other side of Crystal Palace Park Road.I have covered from Sydenham Avenue to Westwood hill up to Sydenham Well Park tonight Jews Walk and tomorrow am at 04:30 will be checking from Sydenham Avenue to the right torward Lawrie Park. The gardens around these houses flats are massive and good hiding places. Ralph another volunteer will patrol tonight as he lives just there. Tx everyone things are in hand...have team ready to go...just need any sightings to be phoned into HQ..tx
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Monica has been out most of day but now as getting hot it is likely that this dog will seek shade and water.
Family have personal issues to deal with so are leaving the search in capable hands of Monica. Please do not phone owners. If you have any sightings messages an be passed on via head office or post on any FB page.
BB451 Kent co-ordinator
Everything is already in hand. Please allow Monica to carry on, she knows what she's doing and we need to support her.
DogLostSpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Did anyone get in touch with Jenny and Tiga? Saw a discussion on a facebook page where a few people were suggesting she be contacted?
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
if people want to help get the new posters up with correct numbers to spread the word- as a sighting is vital to know which direction she is travelling in.
LOOK OUT- SIGHT-PHONE -WATCH.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
She ll keep near water I know roads very busy around park and rail lines too. Let's hope we get a sighting today
Ed_Wood
Hi Monica, just wanted to say that when our dog went missing she was also scared out of the park she was in by people trying to stop her but she did return back there every few days (we think because she'd found a water source there).

So while Skye may have left Crystal Palace there's always a chance she could
return if she has a reason too.

Fingers crossed for another sighting soon.
ellejay
I have put out a Fb and twitter plea to all to not chase if they see her and to call admin number asap.. i know many people who work and live in Sydenham and Palace, and its being shared all over, she is getting very well known, but yes its very important people must not chase her.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Posters have been changed to admin and daughters rather than call owner who is deaf. Any sightings need to reported ASAP and admin or daughter will contact Monica who has been doing a sterling job so far.
It is very important that Skye is not chased or approached or she will bolt.
Please put up posters so public can see who to phone.
This one is going to need to a softly softly-then gain trust approach.
ellejay
How about Mayow Park, or Sydenham wells park, thats not to far from area, wonder if she is laying low over there ?
Unknown
I hope and prayh that skye will be found safe very soon. Please look out for her everyone. Is she being made "TOO HOT TO HANDLE!? just in case. Everything xd, and prayers said for Skye.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
I was on site between 05:00 and 06:30. She has defo moved from the park in my opinion and she will not be back in the same location as she was scared off. Anyone going on site today can I suggest to check gardens of houses and flats between Westwood hill road and Sydenham Avenue. There are a lots quite hiding places and side roads between these two roads. Skye moved in a triangle already as she was seen near Anerley Road then Up to Westwood Road and Jews walk and down again Crystal Palace Park Road near Penge. Next sighting is crucial. Please DO NOT CHASE her. A further sighting yesterday was near Sydenham school or not far from it. She was crossing a road and this is not far from Jews walk. When she bolted out of the park when scared off she went back where she was seen on Saturday
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Another thing, pls be aware of the train line in Crystal Park. We don't want her going anywhere near there. Hopefully she'll go back to "her garden" of this morning.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Dogs can travel a long way, especially huskies. Well done everyone. Pls bear in mind that deaf people may not be able to communicate their thoughts in the same way as others. Monica, pls call admin if you need to. Thanks everyone you are amazing! x
ellejay
Oh dear I was expecting to see a good outcome :(. Well done ladies anyways for today. By the sounds of it owner is very very distraught. I remember Edwards dog going missing and he did a fab job out all hours looking and yes posters are the key. Let's hope tomorrow will bring good news. Skye must be getting tired and if she is limping hopefully she will stay in park as there is good resources for her not to travel out.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
I am not going to go in much detaiis as I have met the daughter of the owner but she does not think the dog is in Cristal Palace and she has been shouting at her daughter to leave. Happy to discuss this matter privately. However, best call admin than the owner right now. At what time have you seen her Keeleyrox?

I drove past this dog in the morning in my 227 bus & contacted the owner on her home phone which is adapted so she can hear. I gave the location I saw Skye & on last comments from my 'share' on Facebook sshe was spotted in Crystal Palace park & people were trying to catch her. The owner is aware of this apparently which is good. My last sight of her was Crystal Palace Park Road heading towards Westwood Hill. Hopefully the reports are true and she has been recovered. According to the Doglost South East Facebook page there were sightings today at Jews Walk SE26 and also in Crystal Palace Park.

I was out tonight and covered Jews Walk and surrounding areas, Sydenham Wells park and Crystal Palace Park and down to Penge but no sign of Skye. The area could really do with lots of posters I think so I'll try and take some tomorrow, if anyone else is out looking it would be great if they can take some posters to put up.

My dog went missing a while ago and was recovered with the help of all at Doglost, it was only after our dog developed a limp she was found so I'm sure Skye can be found too.

Fingers crossed she is found very soon!
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Monica and Debbie you have been amazing. well done. Lets hope Skye remains in area especially as she now has familiar smells. Logging out now but hope that in the morning fresh sightings and she has even taken to her bedding there!!
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Just got back home been out since 10:30. No more sighting most dog owners knows know about Skye but not all uses facebook so posters are required. I have handed out my number. I hope she is still in the park. She is limping on front leg, a bit weak on rear legs and not sure if she has a dirty or bruised nose. Gina who had her in her garden on Saturday and saw her yesterday and today in the park provided information regarding her current health. I will be out in the area at 5:00 am. However, the guy who had her in her garden this morning saw her at 04:30 and she stayed there sleeping until around 08:00 when she approached her with a bowl of water. Local groups have been alerted to keep checking gardens

Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
Please if anyone sees the dog DO NOT approach her let the dog approach you. Skye will not come if food is offered in your hand..no dog in her situation will do that. Sit down even if you are 10 or 15 meters away. Text immidiately admin adn with your back on the dog without looking at her throw the food in her direction. Be patiente! Skye got scared today she was chased with all the good intentions but this does not help. We do not want to scare her from where she feels safe PLEASE. If Skie eats the food then slowly throw it near to you. Keep looking away, head down, yawn as this is a very good calming signal...DO NOT CHASE her again!

thanks everyone for keeping updates spreading the word plus being extra eyes on the ground. we hope she has not left this area but still no sightings but that could just mean she is laying low and watching.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Both Monica and Debbie back at the woods waiting for another sighting but feel she is hiding at the moment. They are both working together and now have owners daughters number to speak direct and arrange to also join them.
If anyone spots a sighting in another area please advise doglost ASAP
Precious Paws
I've posted on crystal palace local asking for people to step back and allow Monica to do her best, seems there are a number of people heading down to the park wanting to help. Hope Monica can reach her and she'said reunited soon. Karen
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Speaking now to both Debbie and maxine we have one very scared dog. we need to keep her in this area to prevent her dashing towards traffic. Both have owners daughters mobile to speak diect. We really need helpers to step back a bit as this will take time for Skye to gain Monica's trust.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
There are now 17 people out in the area looking for her..have informed those that are calling that an animal behaviourist Monica is on her way and to not approach Skye but to hang around by the entrances so Skye does not approach them and to point out to monica where the dog was last seen.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Ok please do not all rush there with dogs or will scare her. A canine therapist is on the way and knows how to deal to help catch her.
Please can anyone that has seen this on Facebook share this message.
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
If dog is scared best helpers do not bring their dogs

I am helping with this one too, as I am deaf, but PLEASE everyone, I cannot emphasise how hard this is for owner being deaf and losing her dog. She needs all the help she can get. PLEASE HELP! Please poster and alert everyone you can think of as poor owner will struggle with this. When I lost my dog, I needed so much help because talking to people, phoning and even hearing a dog's bark, is all but impossible. If her dog is stuck and barking, she will not hear her. Thank you. x

Please be aware owner is deaf...so if you have any info please speak clearly and loudly...alternatively please text her on text only phone 07765 688417.
