The 5 month old rottie on found pages today has been docked. Might be worth calling the finder and seeing if this dogs tail was docked recently or not as Boycie went missing with a non-docked tail.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The fact that, little Boycie is undocked helps as it 'narrows' the search, although this will be commonplace after 1st April this year. Perhaps (maybe) his poster should be amended to state that he is an undocked Rottie. I hate to tell you this, but anyone who has owned Rotties will confirm that the tan 'bow tie' marking on his chest is not unique, in fact, it's the norm! I do hope that someone kind has taken him in cos it's much too cold out there for such a small boy to be away from his home comforts. I hope that the power of the poster will lead to his swift return.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dear all, I can confirm that Boycie does still have his tail and also his markings are quite unique as the tan part across his chest looks as though he is wearing a bow tie :) Also I would like to thank you all for your kind words and support at this time, it is really appreciated. I know that with your help be it putting out posters or word of mouth it will all help in getting him back. Hopefully the next time I post a message it will be good news by telling you all our Boycie is safe and well and back where he belongs.... with his family. Thank you all once again and please do not give up hope that we will find him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

croydon use private kennels for strays, croydon council will not give you their number you will have to get dog warden to check, if those kennels are full dogs are taken to BatterseaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Are my eyes deceiving me or can I see that Boycie has a tail in the photograph? Obviously quite relevant, if that is the case, when out looking for him. Can the owners confirm this please? Also I have just spoken to Scallywags pet shop to place an order & also mentioned about Boycie. The chap I spoke to asked whether Croydon Dog Warden had been alerted (I confirmed this had been done). One of the staff members also covers for the Croydon Dog Warden and obviously they know (him?) well. I gave brief details of Boycie & temporarily left my number (was away from my computer) as contact until a poster arrives with a photo & full details.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unless you've alreay done so, suggest you contact Scallywags Pet Shop & Grooming Parlour at Wickham Rd, Shirley, Croydon (near to traffic lights at junction of Monks Orchard Rd and close to Bethlem Hospital - around 140 acres!). It's about 4 miles from central Croydon and they are all really caring (both staff & employees). They own around 5 Rotties between them & I am sure they would keep their eyes & ears open to anyone coming into the shop with a new 'acquisition'. They would also put a poster in their window. Their tel. no. is: 020 8777 3440. I will also keep a look out whilst out with my two Rotties. Hope little Boycie is back at home with you very soon. Good Luck!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Terrible that a puppy of only 12 weeks old is missing. His poor family must be frantic with worry about Boycie. Make this lovely Rottie boy red hot by postering as widely as possible. He really needs to be in safe, responsible and loving hands. Great that he's been chipped. Hope there is some good news soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We shall e mail poster out to all local helpers when photo arrives. At this stage though it looks as though someone may have picked him up-and may be trying to get hold of the police-but sorry to say in our experience Croydon polices attitude towards missing dogs is not helpful,However the Croydon dog warden is really good.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh no such a baby. Any helpers in the area need to poster area a.s.a.p. Lamposts, entrances to parks, handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers, vets, ask postie, milkmen, binmen, petshops, schools etc. Put A4 poster in car windows. Hope Boycie is found soon. Regards Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
