Thanks for your email Patricia and I'm so glad that Ruby is home again safe and sound.
She did what most dogs will do and found her way back .. glad she didn't run off again. I expect she was busy chasing rabbits in the warm sunshine cheeky girlie!
Stay safe now Ruby. your mum had a long day worrying about you.

Lovely news Patricia....so pleased she is safely home x

Ruby is HOME. I went back to where I last saw her and walked round for the 4th time and as it got dark I resigned myself to trying again in the morning. At that moment Ruby popped out of the scrub. She was nervous and nearly ran away in the gloom but in a few minutes realised who I was and came to me. Thank you very much to Doglost and everybody who shared.

I don't mind the error at all but was just concerned that it hadn't got to the right helpers - glad you've got it sorted and hope Ruby is found safely soon x

Being shared in the BT groups - hope Ruby is home soon.I asked about the found bitch in Herne Bay as one went missing there in March but was told this one has been reunited

Patricia: I have sent a couple of emails to you with advice that will hopefully help you find Ruby.
Please make sure that you register Ruby as lost with the local Dog Wardens and also the vets and rescue centres in the area in case she is picked up and handed in to them. Maybe a friend would do this for you while you are out searching .. best to email them with this link, Ruby's photo and your contact details.
Please get as many posters up in the area as soon as possible so that everyone knows that Ruby is missing.
It's such a warm day out there that hopefully she will return to you when she has finished having fun hunting. Bear in mind that on a hot day like today Ruby will need to find water to drink so have a look around the lake near to where she went missing.

If you need any more advice please or ring me.
Good luck with your search. Last edited: 2015-04-15 20:26:47 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Whoops mistake...Gino has now sent alerts to BN rather than BL...tx for pointing this out and sorry we got it wrong...
Patricia
Hi - thanks for sharing the post. I have contacted doglost to check where it should have been posted. I think it should have been BN7.

I've received an alert to help find RUBY but I live in BL7 - can you please check you've alerted helpers in the right area also? I've shared on fb & twitter & hope Ruby is safely home soon x

someone may have told you this already, go back to where you last saw her and leave some of her bedding/your dirty cloithing (if possible (and I know this will sound disgusting) soaked in your urine. Alson contact www.k9tracker.co.uk

Ruby disappeared this morning the 15th April at the end of our walk about 9am. We were walking on the "tank track" which is on the downs near the junction of Underhill Lane with the top of Lodge Lane by Coombe Down Cottage. She loves to hunt and is very fast so could be far away from where I last saw her.

She is a small border (about 6.2KGs) with a thick coat at present. She is wearing a pink collar with bells and a name tag wrapped round her collar. She is not too sociable with dogs that she doesn't know and is likely to keep away if you have a dog near you or if she doesn't notice you and is surprised may yap away at your dog but doesn't bite. She does like people and is very happy to come to you for a treat. She is trained to come to whistle (2 short sharp and repeat 2-4 times) but clearly doesn't always come when busy on the scent. Please help me find her.
