- I have just heard the good news that Copper is home safe and sound again.
A local farmer had him. - 2015-04-20 08:00 Julie B
- Contact all local taxi companies right away and ask them to let their drivers know so they can look out for your dog. They are out all hours of day and night and may see the dog on their travels if he is wandering around on his own xx

- I have spoken to Copper's owners and it seems that an incident occurred in Underhill Lane and that was when Copper went missing. It is possible that Copper has been stolen and I have advised the family to report the incident to the Police immediately.
Copper's owner has had more than one message saying that a lurcher like her dog has been seen in Cambridgeshire. This is her post:
"Dog has been seen twice in Cambridgeshire. Wisbech. Night before last he was seen on livington common then last night people were trying to catch him for an hour at northend wisbech" (I think this is Leverington Common)
If anyone reading this page lives in Cambridgeshire PLEASE would you share on your Fbk pages? Thanks.
Obviously it may not be him but we will not know until the dog is caught.
I have advised Charlotte to flood the area around where Copper was lost with posters .. there can never be enough of them! If Copper is still in the area then I'm sure someone would have seen him so hopefully they will contact the family to let them know.
Admin: Please would you send email alerts out to Wisbech PE13 and surrounding areas? Thanks. Last edited: 2015-04-17 15:32:16 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2015-04-17 13:16 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Oh .. this is the same lane that Ruby (now reunited) went missing from. Maybe the bunnies are particularly tasty around there.
Charlotte: I have sent a couple of emails to you with advice that will hopefully help you find Copper.
Most dogs will return to the place where you lost them so please try leaving bedding/ unwashed clothing in that area so that he has some familiar scent to come back to. If you started your walk from a car park maybe you could stay there for a while .. with scent articles .. to see if he will return there. As it is such a warm day he may not do this until it starts to go dark, or may even wait until first light.
Please make sure that you register him as lost with the local Dog Wardens and also the vets and rescue centres in the area in case he is picked up and handed in to them. Maybe a friend would do this for you while you are out searching .. best to email them with this link, Copper's photo and your contact details.
Please get as many posters up in the area as soon as possible so that everyone knows that he is missing.
It's such a warm day out there that hopefully he will return to you when he has finished having fun hunting. Bear in mind that on a hot day like today Copper will need to find water to drink so have a look around the lake near to where he went missing.
If you need any more advice please or ring me.
Good luck with your search.
