Tiga tracked from the owners house and came back up the lane where their other beagle was picked up. He also tracked across the fields to the substation and onto the lane by Larks Farm and down this lane past where the camper van had been parked. Tiga went right to the end and turned right at the ducks pond - owner was not happy going along this busy road so we pulled Tiga back. There was not much water around as the streams, ditches and some ponds were dry. There was also a lack of food places for a beagle to scavenge so maybe Gloucester has gone further afield perhaps further along this busy road. I do hope that Gloucester stays safe and is found soon as he is a very much loved family pet and his mates are missing him dearly. Last edited: 2015-04-26 20:20:05 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker

Postered residents beyond the motorway bridge today and took a look around the fields on either side of Shellards Lane as well as Latteridge lane as well as adding a poster to the gate by the stream which I checked x

I am not saying the van was at the substation....it was parked up the top junction that meets Latteridge lane where there are chickens and horses on your right and a cow field on the left. It would give a birds eye view of everything coming left, right , ahead and behind is the road that leads down to the substation. Now he might have been minding his own business but speaking with local folk, there are a lot of 'visitors' in that area.
Esther
Gloucesters buddy that he when off with the one we have got back, was not picked up next to the substation.

Thanks for this Hazel. It could well be relevant.I will pass this info onto Gloucester's owner. Thanks for helping with the search, and contacting the local farmers

Yesterday I posted and spoke with the memorial woodlands including groundsman and postered the hamlets on both ends of Latteridge Lane. Spoke with farmers and Pinkers Countrywide store Today I went back to the fields opposite Pinkers and walked both cow fields and beyond, checking ditches and hedgerow. Also went down to where the horses are in the road with the substation. I found out that on Friday there was a man sitting in a dirty cream foreign looking camper van.....he had thickset hair, weathered skin and when the lady passed him he turned his head away. Another lady saw the same van but when she went by, the man was not in the van. The van sat right on that junction were the lady found Gloucesters beagle buddy....coincidence maybe but I am wondering if he had something to do with their disappearance? Both ladies are trying to remember timings but think was around 6pm on the Friday.
Police cannot investigate without a reg no. so please ask everyone to keep their eyes peeled! I also walked the field to the back of the substation. Spoke to more farmers today and posted in Tytherington. I will walk some more fields tomoz ....oh to have a Jenny and Tiga to help hey! Xx

Thanks for the update Esther, I know Jenny and Tiga are on standby to come and track If nothing comes of today

Still know news, Esther and her family have been putting up more posters around the area, Thornbury, Itchington, Tytherington and Grovesend. We have arranged a drone to come round today to help search. Any help with the posters will be very greatful. Thank you
Mollychops
Thanks Sarah, this area has been thoroughly checked , and owners are worried now as they have searched an extensive area he may have been picked up. I spoke with the owners father just now, and she is calling me tonight to catch up
Sarah
Also along the walks in the field to the left side of the Memorial Woodlands, there are a lot of ditches, badger/fox activity and also drainage tunnels - would be worth taking their other dog along that walk in case he has gone down a hole? Is he likely to do "go hunting" or is he too arthritic to contemplate it? Also thick bramble hedges. Did he have a collar on, could he be caught up?Last edited: 2015-04-21 07:06:49 by Sarah

Thanks Kim B and Sarah. No sightings today sadly . The highways people are going to be notified, and this area is near the motorway and an A road.

I live in Perrinpit Road, will check fields behind me tonight, which run to the Bristol Road, Frome Valley Farm Shop. May have picked up Deer scent as often do that run.
Sarah
Just to say that I've postered houses along from Latteridge Rd Junction back along the Earthcott Rd to and including Rose Cottage. I ran out of posters unfortunately. Also I had a walk around some of the fields as best I cld. Met nice farmer who lives nearby so he has a poster too and will definitely keep an eye out, also postman has a poster. The road leading off Earthcott rd to Alveston cld do with postering too as there are a cluster of houses just along there. Has owner's other dog been taken back out to see if he/she heads towards a certain point? Worth doing if not.

I think you need to get as many searchers as possible to check all the hedges and bushes. An arthritic dog will be feeling stiff after sleeping out, so he probably is not far away, but is likely to be well hidden and resting.
Mollychops
Thanks Jenny for youR kind help here as always XX

Gloucester is 8 and has arthritis, he and his mate went off together but his mate was picked up 100 yards from home. Hopefully Gloucester is not far away or has also been picked up and will be with vets or kennels tomorrow. I have posted on Team Beagle Lost & Found and Beagles UK

ive spoken with breeder and emailing owner info sheets now

I will contact owner . Thankyou Sarah for your kind help
Sarah
I have had a slow drive around some of the lanes around Gaunts Earthcott and towards Itchington with family member watching etc but obviously this is just viewing over hedges. Next step really would be postering all surrounding houses as it's quite rural with sparse housing. Depends which way he might have headed as could also have headed Frampton Cotterell or the lanes leading towards Stoke Gifford. If he has a favourite walking spot, it might be useful to have thorough searches there?

Shared on Facebook and will now tweet. I will be able to help search if more info available xx
