Update as promised x

I'm delighted to report Lucy has been found safe and well, she has been regularly seen round the sewerage works, we have had a brilliant team out working very hard to find her. I would personally like to thank Sara Lewis, Taffi Thomas, Janet Winskill, Val Aldred, Sharon Smith, Tracy Flowers, also everyone else who has been out searching, postering etc, and also a big thank you to everyone who has shared her poster and kept her face out there. She is quite thin as expected, but she has had some food and a drink, a sleep, and will be having a nice bath tomorrow. Here she is when she was finally caught, back with her best friend Jasper, and of course her mum. Welcome home beautiful Lucy xxx

I have uploaded a reunited photo - please refresh the page to view it xxx

Thank you very much mollers - you are a star! x

There is a few of us planning to meet tomorrow at 1pm at the sewer works - Susan has had lots of leaflets printed today, we have equipment as and when needed, the plan is to cover as much area as possible. If anyone would like to pop along, the postcode is PR26 8LH.

Thank you all for your support as always x
mollers
Hi, just got back from searching; spent 3 hours covering the left and right of the sewerage works; checked ditches surrounding the fields to the left where we could. Some of the fields have wire fencing that we couldn't get through so hoping Lucy couldn't either unless she found a gap. No joy sadly but will look again tomorrow.

Hi spent the morning looking to left and right of sewage works. Is a lit of ground to cover to the left but no luck I'm afraid. Have left a but if cereal free food. Please keep up the great work everyone!!

Thank you Mollers :)
We are arranging for a search / leaflet drop tomorrow also - will update on here when we have finalised details.
Thanks again for your support xx
mollers
Hi, thanks for this. Just leaving now and will concentrate to the left of the works. Will update when I get back as I have no internet on my phone whilst I am out. If any sightings this morning though pls feel free to text me 07954585984 and I will change location.
mollyamos
hi Mollers, I had a good look yesterday along the perimeter to the right of sewerage works as your looking at the entrance. It was only when I came home & looked on google Earth I realised how much there was to the left that might not have been checked.
Most people I've come across have been looking mainly to the right & on the playing fields.
Can't make it today but if she's not been found by tomorrow, I'm free in the morning to head over there.

Hi, will be going out within the hour to look for Lucy. Am planning to go towards the Sewerage works/Emnie Lane as that is where I have seen people are saying they have seen her. If she has been spotted anywhere else since then, please add a comment and we will go wherever needed. Fingers crossed.
boxermom

Thank you everyone :) There is a small team of people out now searching, they have taken lots of nice smelly food and a BBQ - hopefully this will tempt her out as she is going to be very hungry now!
Will update here as soon as there is any news - fingers and paws crossed x
mollers
Hi, I am available to go and help look for Lucy tomorrow. I will check on here to see where my efforts are best placed.

That's the plan now mollyamos :) Ive sent Susan all info regarding this, and need to talk to her but she's in hospital today, will catch up with her asap. Sara has very kindly offered to go up tonight with food and also do a BBQ which is great!
Thanks for looking today, really appreciate it, take a slip lead in case you see her ;) xx
mollyamos
Claire, as she seems to be staying around the sewerage works, is it worth setting up a feeding station. Heading that way in an hour or two so will go and have another good look around.

SIGHTED! Lucy has been seen this morning at the sewerage works by a worker, she growled and ran off. This was near Emnie Lane. Lucys owner is in hospital today, if anyone is local and could keep an eye out, we would really appreciate it. Thank you x
DogLostClaire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
Thank you so so much, really appreciate your help xx
mollyamos
Just been for a good look. There are some posters up and most people I spoke to knew of Lucy going missing. Gave everyone I met a flyer with contact details on and a very kind lady took some off me to give out later as she walks her dogs 2/3 times on the fields. Spoke to a man who knew she had been spotted led against the fence by the sewage works. Had a good look around there and 2 other men were going to walk there dogs in that area.

I'll pop back out this afternoon and have a look on the fields off Dunkirk Lane/Paradise Lane just in case she's moved on.

Just had this from Lucy's owner:

Just had a phone call from a man who said he was walking his dog 2 days ago by leyland sewage works and they saw a dog on its own fitting the description of lucy he said to his friend it was strange no one was with it he apologised as he had only just seen poster I think this is the area that links on to were I was walking the sewage works in my mind is 1st point of her triangle the 2nd must be ulnes walton and the 3rd must be shops moss side or am I hoping

Thank you so much mollyamos and mollers, that would be brilliant! Sara Lewis and her sister (thank you ladies) are going up there tonight, I will help but can't get there til Sunday, hoping she's back before then. Will speak to Lucy's owner today and update later :) thank you all for your help xx
mollyamos
I'll have a walk along the river tomorrow morning & put some posters up. Can't do colour I'm afraid as only black ink in printer. Will take some posters to shops on Dunkirk Lane. Hope she's found soon
mollers
Hi, sorry to hear about Lucy. I am at work during the day but if you need any help searching on an evening or at the weekend, I would be happy to help (but hope she is found before the weekend)xx
DogLostClaire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
Lucy's owner is new to the area, she is also quite poorly with her heart - if anyone could spare any time searching, or putting a few posters up - it would be greatly appreciated.
She will also be out of action on Friday due to having the hospital - if you are local, please look out for her x

Might be helpful to have correct colouring - is she brindle rather than brown and red? as this may help in finding her. As some will list by colouring and she looks like from her photo's she could be brindle and white to me. I know it sounds a bit pedantic but you may get told no no dog like that here as they don't think of the how the dogs colour is described. Hope Lucy is found very soon xx
