wrenside you posted on the pages of a dog found in Skellow, S.Yorks enquiring for more details. This dog was found by the owners of a young springer who was missing at the time. They took him to the local stray kennels. I have had confirmation today that the dog was male and has now been rehomed and have moved his page over to our reunited list. I will keep a look out for any possible matches for Pip. xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just wanted to say that it's been nearly 2 years since Pip went missing and we've still not heard anything about her whereabouts. She was such a special little girl and should by rights be living out her twilight years with her devoted owner, it's so sad. Can I just ask everyone who reads this to make an extra special effort to look out for Pip in the New Year, in free ads, in rescue centers, in the park etc... it would be so wonderful if we could get this old girl back.
Thanks very much.
Best wishes to everyone for the new year.
Mary xxx

The Cotswold Show is at Cirencester Park (Glos) on the 7th and 8th of July and there are many BACS gundog events on both days so lots of Springers will be there, so could be well worth a visit if anyone is in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello Wrenside - I'm one of the many people in Kirkby who have been trying to help Reg find Pip. Frankly, we are beginning to lose hope. We have done so much yet there is absolutely no sign of her. Reg has no PC access so I will pass your kind message on to him when I next see him. I don't want to call him as every ring makes him hope it is good news about Pip and every time he is disappointed. If only these b*******s who take a dog for a quick fifty quid could see the devastation and despair they leave in their wake. Pip was Reg's companion through every moment of the day and he just doesn't know what to do with himself without her. Anyway, your help in the south is very much appreciated. Fingers crossed we hear something/anything.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh god, Reg I'm so sorry about Pip going missing. She's such a lovely dog. All of us here in London are looking out for Pip when we take Bella for walks. We have spread the word about Pip throughout the SW London dog walking network, so if she turns up down south we'll now about it. Once again our sympathies, we hope she'll be returned to you safe and sound very soon. Best wishes The Askew family xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

More information on Pip: She looks years younger than her age and is very small and slim, docile and friendly. Very active at her job at which she is first-rate. Her owner, who is retired but rough shoots with her regularly, is absolutely devastated. She possibly escaped when the gate was left open or may have been stolen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as admin receive a picture and posters are e-mailed to helpers posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or some who knows Pip. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
