Hazebella has been assisting in my absence. To those offering support, thank you. Please do be aware though, we only have the information Lexi's owner has written here. Whilst DogLost cannot assist with civil disputes, advice will always be given where possible to assist owner to do this themselves. I previously advised owner to take civil action, but then she was told she could collect Lexi. Whilst police may not be able to assist in a civil matter, you should still always call them if you feel you need to. Please let us know how you get on. We all wish you the best of luck. Hey everyone sorry I haven't replied I've been so busy, I tried Essex police they won't do anything, I contacted rspca and they went round there n just told them how to treat there other 2 dogs they have because it's disgusting the way they treat them & despite me also telling them that Lexi is actually stolen they didn't get her for me or anything. This is why I've listed her as missing because none of the authorities have helped me, she is microchipped and she is all registered in my name and my mums address, I have all the paper work to prove it all as well. I'm meeting him tomorrow at 2 on canvey but everything just really doesn't seem right. He told my mum that she had been to the vets & they found a lump n it doesn't look good n that she had to be on a drip n everything, he then said that she had to have a scan to see if the lump was cancerous or tumourous, then got told she had to stay in because she needed to have another scan to see if what they gave her was working, then got told the lump was going down but she needs rest and peace n quiet, then he said that she needs anti biotics for a week n apparently she has a scan today, but I've called all the vets on canvey and none of them have seen her or any dog by that discription or chip number.. So everything just really don't add up!

I've asked on facebook for help. Can you try calling Essex police for Canvey? Tell them that despite this being a civil issue, he has definitely stolen your dog and is playing you. You know she was there from the RSPCA visit, right? So now you just need back up. If you have problems when you get there, phone police. Let's hope we can get some people to go with you for support. x

What details? I was emailing Kim about the whole situation. But i got told by my ex who stole her that I can pick her up on Sunday at 2 but it sounds really dodgy like something's going to happen when I get there, I don't trust it. I was just hoping that if there was anyone in canvey on that day at that time that they could come n help just incase something does happen, I'm so worried about it. I don't understand why he lied about her being at the vets, n I don't understand why he said Sunday at 2 because apparently she has a 'check up' at the vets on Saturday x

She's on canvey but I live in Devon.. That's what she meant by she's 300 miles away. She was stolen from me and got taken there

Ok so planned to pick Lexi up on Sunday 17th at 2pm but things don't seem right.. Have called all vets on canvey & none of them have had any dog with her chip number, her name or her description been in within the last few weeks.. If anyone is on canvey on that day and time would you please be able to help me x

Thank you Jayne and Pat. We have since had news from owner. Lexi has been found! She is in the Vets 300 miles from home and should be going back to owner next week. She was taken but the "taker" is now doing the right thing and she will be returned. I am not moving her into he blue until owner has her in her arms, but we can stop looking. Thank you everyone. x
