- What a long and sad day. Not the outcome we had hoped for by far. It was perhaps one of the saddest moments for a long time to retrieve poor Prudence from about 12 feet out in the slurry pit and not the easiest of tasks. Shame on the guy that left the gate open allowing poor Prudence to wander out and the farmer for not having.
some sort of fencing around such a huge slurry pit. Tiga you can be proud of your toy tonight. - 2015-05-11 23:33 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh

- 2015-05-11 20:18 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- So, so sad. The heartbreak Peru's family must be feeling after all their searching and false leads will be unbearable at the moment but at least they now have closure and they know they did all they could for her. Farms are always dangerous places and it is the risk every dog owner takes when animals are given freedom to roam.

- Jenny and Tiga went out to track prudence today and sadly they found her in a slurry pit on a neighbouring farm.
R.I.P sweetheart.
Well done for enabling the owners to have closure. - 2015-05-11 11:34 Claire Ellie's Mum
- So sorry your little one is missing. Do you have a Facebook page ? X
- 2015-05-10 21:33 Millys Mum
- I'm so sorry to hear that Prudence is still missing. How strange it is that there has been no sightings. As poochpal has said, someone somewhere must have seen her or knows where she is because she's such a distinctive and beautiful girl. I do hope that the brilliant Jenny and Tiga can get to you tomorrow and are able to throw light on what might have happened to her. You have obviously done so much already. Hoping that Prudence is found in the meantime, but good to hear that your local papers will be printing her missing details. Also the banners sound great! Claudia, It makes me so sad to think what you are going through and quite understand but please try to stay positive. Hoping and praying very hard that you will receive some good news very soon. Prudence PLEASE show your beautiful face very soon.

- Bumped due to sighting at Hatch Beauchamp earlier today. Helper who lives nearby has searched the area but the dog had disappeared. Claudia has been sent photos and hopefully will be able to confirm.
- 2015-05-10 08:15 Claudia
- Update so far, sadly only one kind soul turned up for the search, plus Shelly who arranged it all.
I'm hoping that Jenny and Tiga are coming here tomorrow to try and track Prudence, it's not confirmed but I'm keeping everything crossed this is my last hope really as it may give us some answers.
Tons of posters up, targeted the polling stations in our Area. Have put ads in local papers they come out nxt Thursday. Have huge banners being made to put in a couple of places.
All vets in our area have posters up, plus all pet shops.
Trying to hand out posters to passers by in delivery vans, postman etc.
Am now at a loss at what else we can do.
I'm praying that Jenny can come down tomorrow.
Feeling so very sad everyday the tears are flowing.
Come home Pru we miss you.
Praying for a miracle right now. - 2015-05-09 22:03 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Afraid there is still no news of Prudence, lovely long chat to Claudia tonight who has been working so hard to get the word out there. Someone somewhere must have seen Prudence either along the road near the farm or maybe a neighbor has recently acquired a new dog that looks like her?
Any information would be welcome no matter how insignificant it may seem. If we could have a report of just one sighting it would give fresh hope so please call the above numbers or the Doglost admin number, 08448003220, in strictest confidence. - 2015-05-07 23:53 skyninchar

- Claudia - When I mentioned in a previous post, whether you had a cess pit on your farm (or on a neighbouring farm) ,I think I meant to say a slurry tank as I'm aware they can be dangerous places.

- Me again! Details of Jenny and her amazing beagles, Tiga and Yogi can be found on the website K9Tracker.

- Hi Claudia - it's quite a while since I edited a dog's details and without having the screen in front of me I can't remember. I used to be a DL Co-ordinator and did it all the time but can't recall how to do it. Perhaps I will try to create a new entry and then delete it but it's probably best to call Head Office so that someone can talk you through it. Also, on reflection, I believe only DL Admin can alter the main heading to read: MISSING - LARGE REWARD OFFERED but might be wrong. jenny4's suggestion is worth considering as there have been some amazing results.
- 2015-05-05 16:14 Unknown
- Have you thought about getting a tracker dog in?
- 2015-05-05 07:06 Claudia
- How do I edit the poster Millys mum ? I'm logged in but can't see edit poster anywhere ?
P.s we have checked the farm and next door, nothing. X - 2015-05-04 19:15 Millys Mum
- Claudia - I'm so sorry to hear that Prudence is still missing. I live in North Kent and so are unable to help 'on the ground' but can only hope and pray that tomorrow brings the news you've been waiting for. What makes you think she has been stolen? I presume you live in rural area. Have you made absolutely certain that she's not still on your farm and perhaps stuck or caught up somewhere? Have you checked all barns, outbuildings, ditches, etc. Do you have a cess pit? If so please check just to rule it out. Do you know the owners of any nearby neighbouring farms and, if so, are they friendly? What time of day did Prudence go missing? Have any other dogs recently gone missing in your area? You are able to amend Prudence's missing poster yourself by logging back in and I think it would be best to add the 'LARGE REWARD OFFERED' next to the word 'MISSING' (with a hyphen in between) at the top of the poster. That way it will appear in red capital letters. We have a much loved Rottie girl ourselves and so know how desperate you are to get Prudence back home. Just make sure you poster like mad and make her to best known and hottest girl in town! Some years ago our large tabby cat went missing when the vet lost him out of their kitchen window (!!!). We plastered our local area in posters and also offered a large reward. We and our wonderful friends were out looking for him up to 20 hours a day (just popping home to walk our dogs, eat a quick snack and a cuppa) but, in the end, I'm happy to report that our tenacity paid off as we found him in the grounds of our local private hospital 5 days later. Good Luck!Last edited: 2015-05-04 19:18:50 by Millys Mum

- Eva, Thankyou so much for putting up the poster. I wonder if you could be so kind as to add large reward to it ?
Not sure if it's possible, but any help you could give would be amazing.
We are so desperate to find her, our baby girl is missed by us and our other dogs.
If anyone can share or add posters in garages post offices etc we would be so very grateful.
Happy to add a large reward splash it everywhere.
Thanks very much in advance. - 2015-05-02 22:12 choowie74
