- Just to say we (West Norfolk RSPCA, in PE34) are aware of this dog, as I saw he was missing on FB a while ago and was also emailed by someone about him too. All stray dogs from West Norfolk and outside King's Lynn towards Wisbech come into our care for rehoming.
Praying he is found safe and well VERY SOON, it's such a tragic story :(

- Goochie is featured in the local newspaper, I will bump his page to the top because of this, hopefully this will bring some news x
- 2015-05-25 13:30 ClaireC
- Personally feel that you need to keep checking the area around dyke. His sense of smell will not have
left him in spite of other difficulties.Last edited: 2015-05-25 21:05:46 by ClaireC - 2015-05-25 11:15 Lesley (ID84584)
- Ive been following on FB and he has been featured in so many online newspapers. Here's hoping he has been taken in by an older person, in which case hardcopy papers, church notice board, elderly social clubs, village notice board, parish newsletters, free paper etc are a good idea. Plus signage along the road. I'm about to print off a poster for my car window as I will be parked up daily at Eastern Industry, Peterborough this week, travelling through Eye. Lesley Harbron

- Oh I was so hoping he'd be found by now, poor old boy. I hope someone has found him and taking care of him and just hasn't seen the notices...make him too hot to handle...good luck. His owners must be devastated...so sad.
- 2015-05-24 21:14 susieq666
- Sad... I was so sure he'd be found...

- Update on search & I am afraid it didn't bring a end to the owners worry as the search party wasn't able to find him. Some calls to the owner re possible sightings at a park between Ely & Littleport I understand. Search still continues and appreciate any people in the area to keep an eye out & put posters up. Please visit/Join his FB page 'Lost Dog Goochie Shiba Inu' & get the word out as much as we can for him. Local papers have been running a story and hopefully if he has been picked up he will soon be too hot to handle and will be handed in

- I have circulated to petsearchers and other contacts. I hope the poor old boy is soon found safely.

- When we called it a day Tiga was happy not sad - if only dogs could talk.
I agree Shina Gang - search should still go ahead. Last edited: 2015-05-20 23:02:02 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker - 2015-05-20 22:11 Shiba Gang
- Search and extra postering being done this Sat, in the meantime those of us who are not local are helping with getting the word out with the help of FB and the internet. Local paper is running a story too & hoping to get more news coverage as waiting for some papers to yet to come back to me. Anything else you can suggest we are missing ? Any Dog lost people in the area that can help with the search on Saturday at all please?
- 2015-05-20 22:05 Owl
- Shiba Gang, if he has been picked up and not reported it is not surprising. We have seen numerous instances of very old dogs being picked up by kind people who took it for granted that they had been dumped because of their age and decrepitude, and did not want the dogs to go to pound in case they were pts. So it is important to get the news out everywhere in case someone has done just that.

- Extra alerts sent to postcodes PE30,PE31,PE32,PE33,PE34,PE35 in case he has been picked up by a passing motorist.

- Whilst I know you have discussed the dyke with the owner I have left it off the FB page for now, nothing like seeing it in black and white to destroy your hopes when your hoping for some good news .

- Hi Jenny & Tiga
Thank you for taking the time to help search for Goochie, the sighting on Monday was from another FB post? A search party is still going ahead on Sat just in case he was picked up and them gets dumped back as surely he is getting too hot to handle. I am just hoping its picked up rather than the dyke :( I will crosspost this info onto his FB page . Thanks again - 2015-05-20 21:24 Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
- Shins Gang - where did you hear about the sighting on Monday - the last sighting owners knew of was Sunday.
Just returned home after Tiga tracked from the pen to the road and along to the first house where he was possibly seen on Saturday, Tiga went around the garden several times and under the trees, into the green house and eventually back out and continued along the road to a crossing over the dyke and again where he was seen Sunday evening. Tiga spent a lot of time here up and down the bank and into the rape and back out and then back onto the road where he just sat down indicating that Goochie has either been picked up here or sadly in the dyke.
Admin can email alerts please go out to Kings Lynn post codes please. - 2015-05-20 16:47 ClaireC
- Thank you Alison. Good luck Jenny and Tiga

- I have emailed into admin @ doglost as there maybe someone on the team that may just be able to help you with their tracker dog. I am sure they will be in touch if able to assist. Good luck

- Trying to get a search party sorted for early doors this Sat morning. We need as many helpers as we can. Does anyone know of any tracker dogs in the area - he was sighted on Monday near the cattery so we still have hope he is still in the area. I will set up a new FB group to put all exact details on but really need search dogs to give us a helping hand
- 2015-05-19 12:42 ClaireC
- I very much doubt that he will be far away. Have you tried neighbours gardens especially those with swimming pools or ponds and ask people to please check their sheds or garages. Ask neighbours to check their thick hedgerow around gardens and also area? Ask milkmen (if you still have them) to keep an eye out also postmen. Always a real worry when an oldie goes missing.
