I took Tiga back this morning as was determined today was going to be the day. We had an early call of a sighting again on Tiga's loop and so started here. Tiga kept doing small loops in the woods and undergrowth. We then had a call of another sighting of a beagle wearing a red collar not far away so we were distracted by that but found out it was a boy beagle with red collar, so owner returned to where we were while I had a drive round. He soon called me to say she was seen there again. I told the owner to leave his cab door open but in the rush he forgot but had already got the window open. I arrived back there and Tiga was on a strong scent heading through a garden where she was seen and back into the woods and out again towards the cab. 100 yards ahead of Tiga I could hear a 'delighted' owner and I knew it was all over - I looked up to see Alice in 'dads' arms she had jumped in the cab through the window which explains how she escaped in the first place. She had a number of ticks on her and was quite thin but otherwise ok. Owner was taking her to vet to be sure. Last edited: 2015-05-30 14:19:28 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker

Just had a call from Jenny and Tiga. Alice has now been caught.

oh, that sounds really encouraging! Maybe she will come for a "chat" with Tiga?

Tiga has tracked for 2 days and we now know the loop Alice is doing. Yesterday we spent sitting in places around the loop watching and we now know a place she is using regularly and within an hour slot. We are now scenting her to a particular garden where we have set up a food station and her bed. She is looking well and not running scared just very timid. Patience is now the key to her being home soon.

large farms in Nash lane with many out building suggest alerting these as well as good place to find shelter-wooded areas both sides as well.

There is a car boot sale at Highams farm (back towards Biggin Hill) tomorrow (24th) that it may be worth postering at. Obviously it will be very busy and there will be lots of cars coming and going so would be worth heading down there.

Alice was seen twice this morning at the end of Nash Lane. If you see her, do not move towards her or shout but get low down without making eye contact, speaking quietly.Last edited: 2015-05-23 21:46:17 by Owl
