As far as I know there was some doubt thrown on the photo of the reunion. It had been put on the HFT page by someone who was visiting London. I had said to Sami that I would not move this page into reunited until she could confirm it was true. However after all the Tweets and reports that were on the page it was taken as true.
Then more Tweets were put out saying Michael had been seen and he did not have Treacle with him (they are apparently never apart)

Sami was the lady who started helping find Treacle after she was originally taken fm Michael on Wednesday evening.
I have been in touch with her today and asked her to confirm that Treacle is definitely home. She said: "She really is - I had cuddles & dog snogs!"

At no stage has there been any reason for me to doubt Sami Trillo-Blanco's integrity and she has done a great job reuniting Treacle with her owner.

What is the news here? We all already know that Treacle has been reunited since Monday, if not what did really happen? I’m getting fed up with all these stories behind the scene on dog lost/found/stolen world. We are all volunteers so don’t deserve all these confusions. It’s needless. Thank you! x

I have a feeling that the friend of Michael genuinely started this with the best of intentions but with so many people getting involved it all got out of control. I'm just glad they are back together.

Already seen that Sammy apparently she was missing again after this story ran hence all the confusion. Someone said it wasn't true and she was still missing others said she had been found and then missing again. She was with Michael on Monday and is also with him today. It's like Chinese whispers!

According to a lady on twitter she has seen and spoken to Michael this morning (on her way to work I think) he DOES have Treacle and she was found in Kent. I'm really not sure who you can ask for confirmation as people are telling different stories.

Oh goodness. I too saw the photo posted by someone who took the photo. It was also said to be confirmed by 2 Transport for London guys who said he and Treacle had been sitting next to them 10 mins earlier. Sami said she was happy that it was Michael and Treacle but I said that I was going to wait until she confirmed this when she saw him and his dog the next day before putting into reunited. The Help Find Treacle page is no longer on Fbk but I will message Sami to see if she knows what is going on. All seems very strange.
Update: I have just had it confirmed from Sami that Treacle is definitely STILL MISSING.

Something doesn't add up here. I have followed this on the 'Find Treacle' facebook page until it said she had been found. I left the page then as there was a lot of bickering. The page then shut down and they now say on twitter Treacle is still missing. I have just seen a tweet from the lady who says she took the photo of Michael and Treacle. Her twitter page says 'Saw Michael on Monday night with Treacle. I have no idea why people are now saying that this was a hoax. I saw them, spoke to Michael and took pic. I don't know what has happened now' She also tweeted ' I took the pic and posted in good faith. They were together at 9pm on Monday. I don't know what's happened since.'

Oh dear this really is very strange. A photo of michael and treacle at 'their spot' was posted on Facebook by a lady who knows michael. She said she had spoken to him and he had said treacle was back and fine. Also fund collected for them has been given back to donors. It really is quite confusing

We were at London Bridge today but disappointingly I didn't spot these two but will look out for them next time we are there (presuming that's their regular haunt). Certainly sounds as if Treacle is back with Michael. I will wait for confirmation before moving this page to reunited. I gather this has only been reported in the last hour so fingers crossed it's true.

"I don't have any photos but all the sightings coming in, it seems that it is 99% definite that Michael has Treacle back. If anyone sees them, please post a pic - I am back at work tomorrow and can see his spot on the bridge from my office (as long as the ice cream van isnt in the way) I will go and find him at lunch and get a photo - probably of me pushing him off the bridge for not calling me! Thank you so much for all your help - its not enough but i don't know what else to say. Hopefully tomorrow we will know for sure this is all over. Everyone on Help Find Treacle page is still working very hard. An amazing number of Tweets going out to lots of famous people, the press and media in general with plenty of reTweets too.
The shares of this page have gone up to 3.1K which again is brilliant .. thanks everyone!
No more news of Treacle's whereabouts sadly but Sami has spoken to Police today. Treacle's theft is being taken seriously and will be reported as a crime. I will add CRN when I have it.

I have been in touch with Sami Trillo-Blanco who is the one helping Treacle's owner Michael. I am offering advice and will help as mich as possible. There is not a Co-ordinator for this area. I have checked it's ok for me to help with Aunt Stef and she says it's fine and she will help too if needed :)

Unfortunately it being Bank Hol weekend means that it is hard to contact any of the authorities until Tuesday.
Police were apparently not on duty when Treacle was stolen but Sami is seeing them today and will see if she is able to get Michael (Treacle's owner) to go with her, but he is understandably very distraught still. I have said that she should insist that they give her a CRN and explain that someone was impersonating a Police Officer so they should take the theft seriously, shouldn't they??
Michael has not been able to give any description of the thief yet as he has been so distressed he can hardly speak, but hopefully Sami will be able to get little bits of info as time goes on.

Have asked everyone on Help Find Treacle page to print and put up as many posters as possible. does anyone in the area know if this is actually happening please? The idea is to make Treacle TOO HOT TO HANDLE as quickly as possible.

They are also having difficulties finding out where T's microchip was implanted, they have rung Petlog who were very helpful but will be trying to find out more asap. I have said that it's possible the microchip was done under one of the schemes for homeless people (Dog's Trust, Blue Cross??)
Just so everyone knows .. Micheal now has a home where he and Treacle will be fine when she is found.

Someone posted a comment on the Help Find Treacle page that another homeless man nearby had a man say the same kind of threatening things to him but he was able to keep hold of his dog, so maybe this is a new way of taking a dog? Nothing confirmed but I asked the lady to report this to the Police.

Christine he has been living on the streets so has no social media access .,he has some great people helping him but at present time is too distraught to talk to anyone...... hopefully all will be sorted and they get her back to Michael very soon x.....

Can whoever is dealingthis owner in this matter, on his behalf, go to the police for him? You must be given a crime number (not incident number) if Treacle has been stolen. If the owner believes the dog to be stolen, the police must act on that. Police will have power to check CCTVs but time is of the essence because they get wiped.

I'm sorry I have just got in. Treacle is still missing. There was a possible sighting of her on Oxford street according to the group page. Lots of requests for Police involvement. Perhaps CJ could put a bit of pressure on. I have posted the link to Treacles poster and suggested that this is put up everywhere. Also suggested that this is circulated around the homeless community. There is also the possibility of cctv in the area but no one seems to know how to access it. Any ideas would be great. Just a thought but has anyone thought of checking CCTV where he was stolen from. Not sure of exact location but if it was near London Bridge station most of that area has cctv cameras everywhere!Don't know how they would go about checking but maybe London Bridge station security would assist!
