Thank you so much for keeping her safe, registering here and doing all you have done for this girl, doesn't bear thinking what could have happened to her.
West Dorset has an emergency phone service for out of hours where you can report finding her by ringing 01305 251010 and then press 2 after the recorded message. Not sure if there is always someone available to collect strays at all out of hours times though. Collar with contact details would have made things so much easier.

Well done Josie! Yes agree with your earlier posting....Almost impossible to get hold of some one on the weekend...let alone a bank holiday weekend!...But we are always here....and exhausted! The least we can do is put details on site...and get people to share...and it works.
Esther
Thanks for looking after her Josie.

Dog RE UNITED with owners today, apparently she escaped, third time she has done it so a big suggestion to get her chipped and a name and telephone number put on her collar!.............Still trying to work out how to add the reunion to this site.

We contacted the dog warden and the Police when we found her, But a point to mention, if you find a dog on a Bank Holliday weekend, Its pretty impossible to get any response other than recorded messages and online registering!! Luckily we were able to take her in over the week end.

A helper has pointed out that yesterday was the Sherbourne County fair...so may be worth while contacting organisers in case anyone reported a dog missing.

Bless her , she reminds me so much of our barrel shaped Springer. Hope today finds her owner x

Please call 01305 251010 to report finding to the dog warden, this is a legal obligation if you find a dog. It sounds like she has been a much loved pet. Well done for keeping her safe over the bank holiday.
