Fox mange is sarcoptic mange, not demodectic. Cavalier rescue would certainly help this little girl. Have they been contacted? Where is she at the moment? I would have her willingly but can't risk my dogs getting the mange. After it is cleared, I can have her.

It is the same dog... The Chichester dog warden lists all their dogs on Doglost. I hope she finds a loving forever home soon xx

Demodectic mange is the fox mange - and this certainly sounds like the same little one.

This looks like the Cavalier posted on Chichester District Council's page but it says that the dog is a girl and they are now calling her Mollie.
"A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has been found straying in a terrible condition. Now called Molly, she is currently being treated for fox mange (a type contagious to other dogs and humans), skin infections and ear infections. She has obviously been used for breeding and our dog wardens would be interested to know if anyone recognises her"

Hope his owner claims him - but may be worried about costs of treatment. That looks like demodectic mange - and IS treatable - Just takes time and care..

If he is claimed by owner, then I hope this poor little one gets the much needed vet treatment for his skin and ears which must be both painful and uncomfortable!

Oh dear, he looks such a frightened little chap. Hope he's soon claimed and if not I'm sure there'll be plenty of people who'd love to have him. Southern Cavalier Rescue would more than likely know someone. Have listed him found on ckcs forums.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.

If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
