This is not very near but there is a 2yr old Border (although does not say so) on www.halfwayhome-dogrescue.org (picture not clear) or go to http://www.rainrescue.co.uk and look under Newark dogs. On same site a 3yr Border(charles) look for Worksop dogs. Also on there an 8mth white Staffie bitch - just going to check whether matches one of the missing on Doglost as I know there are a few White SBTs missing at the momentLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I work in High Laver and live nearby so will take some posters with me. There were alot of posters up originally, not sure if they are still up. Tried contacting the owner the other day to see what had already been done, will try again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This may be nothing but Blue Cross (Hertfordshire) have a 2yr old Border dog - says from a family home but kennels dont always get told the right story - looks quite similar to Louis. Could be worth a checkLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Louis. Brilliant that he is chipped. This is all too close to home. I was going out later today to take some of millys posters down (Harlow area)but now i will simply overlay them with this one. I will concentrate on the main roads. As everyone knows this worked for us, so all i can say is never give up hope and we all pray louis will be returned safe and sound. i will keep you updated as to were the posters go. Probably a silly question, but with a garden that size, it has been checked for holes / burrows? Calling won't do it if he is stuck. Hope he is found soon, Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just spoken to Louis' owner. Louis is still missing. Owner is going to try and send me a photo via mobile as had PC probs and other photos got lost. If this photo is unsuccessful owner has a camera (but left in another Country) with photos but cannot get it until next week. We need to start this one from scratch and pull out all stops, as although owner has reported to Battersea no postering has been done yet. When poster on site I will contact the vets, rescues, dog wardens & kennels in the Essex area. Louis was wearing a collar but had no ID tag. He is chipped (as per original info). Nearest travellers camp is at Moreton but this is a static site and owner says that normally not a problem. Owner let Louis out in large garden for night time toilet at about 10pm and basically Louis didn't come back. Owner has about 4 acres so thought Louis was just nosing around but as time went by realised Louis was gone. I'm hoping that someone may have taken Louis in and as no postering, has kept him. Owner will be calling Dog Lost as wants to change a detail re poster. Will update when more info - KatieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
