Update from Lola's owner and reunited photo added. (Pls refresh the page a couple of times to see it)

"She came to the back door howling at 4am and when my husband opened the door trotted in tail wagging! She was ok, although thin and dirty. Letting her rest and will get her checked by vet.
A big thank you to Brighton Dogwatch and Doglost for support and advice and to all the individuals who were helping us to look - it's been overwhelming how kind and concerned everyone has been. Even our cat is pleased to see her - this is the first time they have been in the basket together!"

Had a message to say that Lola is home. Limited information but I gather that she took herself home, clever girlie!
So pleased as people were beginning to worrry that she had met with an accident or been stolen.
Great way to start the day!
Welcome home Lola!

Lola's owner is home now (07809 484938) and I have had a long chat with her explaining that the members of BDW have been doing all they can to help find Lola. It's a shame that the advice I had given to the dogsitter had not been followed as Lola has obviously tried to go home.
However, I am sure that Iseult will be leaving bedding, doing a bbq and searching in all Lola's usual walking places.
I have asked Iseult to update the Doglost page so anyone who is not on Fbk will be able to see what is happening now.
Thanks so much to all who have put posters up and for their help.
Come on Lola .. time to go home and see your Mum please.Last edited: 2015-06-01 14:40:31 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

rhianlw Many thanks for that information. The number of the dogsitter is the first one on here. Hopefully the person who saw Lola has rung her to let her know. Both the owner and dogsitter live in Brighton so I would assume it was her home address that Lola was spotted at.
Good to know she is going there but what a shame that no one was there.

This comment was posted on Dogwatch today. Seems Lola made her way home but nobody was there! Somebody needs to be there in case she comes back again. "I passed their house this morning at about 6.40 (I have just been back up to check the address) and there was a Black lab sat waiting outside the front door, I had my dog with me and thought she was waiting to go out (hadn't seen the missing post). After we passed she came out onto the street. If its possible someone should check the house, she knows where she lives."

NB* Tel number on this page is Lola's owner .. I have had it confirmed that Lola's owner is abroad at the moment and Lola was in the care of a Dog minder who is absolutely devastated and is doing everything she can to find and catch her. She is presently following up on this morning's sighting
and also following my advice re bedding and smelly food etc.
The sighting was very close to where this lady lives and hopefully she will return there, if not now then at last/first light.

If anyone is helping search please do not chase Lola as it may scare her off again and it's important to keep her in the area she was seen this morning.
Hopefully we will get good news soon.

I have changed the tel number on this page as owner is, as I say, abroad at the moment.

Iseult: Thanks for adding Lola to Doglost. Have been watching the BDW posts. I have shared to Doglost East Sussex, Doglost SE and my pages.
I have sent you some Doglost advice which may help you catch her.
Latest info:
"Lola was sighted this morning (30th) at 8am on the small roundabout just north of the large Asda roundabout. She ran into the fields leading onto Ditchling Road that leads to Ditchling beacon. She was visibly frightened. Please keep an eye out if you are heading to that area"

Iseult: If you are able to give us any more information and leave updates for our Doglost helpers it would be a great help.
I think I saw a comment saying that Lola was lost whilst on holiday. Is this right please and if so, was she staying in Woodbourne Ave? She may try to make her way back to there so would be worth leaving something with a strong scent of her or her owners at that place so she has something familiar to come back to and stay with.
Best of luck finding her.Last edited: 2015-05-30 12:40:36 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
