Awwwww soooo pleased to see Harry has been found and reunited !! It's so hard when they are soo timid and scared of strangers who are trying to help! Lots of cuddles and treats for Harry for staying strong and safe during his camping out holiday by the water tower! Please give him a squeeze from me! Xxxx

Harry has been found and reunited with Gail. Fab news!
Gail1981
No sightings of Harry today I'm hoping it's the change in weather, food has been left in a couple of areas, we shall see if still there tomorrow. Just to remind you last sighting was around 1.30pm at the water tower area on 11/06/15. I just want to say thank you to everyone your efforts are a massive support to me, it's such a large area. Will update tomorrow x
Monica - Area Volunteer, South London
He is staying low ground y might pass by him but don't see him as he is hiding in bushes. I don't know the area but i am sure there ll be water by and by
instinct he ll stay now there as he has been a few days. Leave his bed and a familiar smell with a bowl of water as it is familiar. If y do see it don't approach him trow food his way. If he doesn't take it take a few steps away, knee down or sitting down don't face him but keep at 45 degrees. When he start eating trow food closer and closer keeping head down to avoid eye contact. Use a loop lead to catch him or if y try to grab his collar do it from underneath his face without making too quick moves. Most importantly breath stay calm dogs smell our emotions and we smell differently when stresses or anxious they sell our adrenaline. Y don't see him y can calmly sit down where have y left his bed. Only one person should sit there and if possible always the same person that it ll help him as you need to gain his trust. Y might ve to spend hours or days gaining his trust but calm and patience will pay off. A calm balance dog of the opposite sex can be used if he is confident around dogs. I am not sure if the area it is really big but too many people looking can scare him and y want him to stay there. Location of bed etc should not be made public but agreed privately. Praying for y crossed paws y find him

I heard from Gail this morning that there was no sign of little Harry at 6am today. I went out there at 8.30am for an hour and all round the area, but didn't see any sign of him either. However, it was pouring with rain so he may have taken cover somewhere. Hopeful, he will show himself at some point today. If anyone is in the area, please keep an eye out for him.
Pet SearchersJan.Petsearchuk
Good luck in catching him Gail and thank you for keeping in touch with this list so that we know updates...(a lot of people don't unfortunately).
Gail1981
Well Harry is still in the area he was last seen in the woods near the water tower at 1.30pm today and this morning at 6.30am at the same place he got free from me. All these sightings are so so valuable we just feel frustrated that we can't entice him. we will keep going and i hope to have him back very soon. remember he is not good with humans but may approach your dog for a little sniff. i will be going down there at 6am tommorow. x

I hear from Paula that there have been more sightings of Harry this morning near where he went missing. Went back up to the Water Tower first thing, and down to Bagshot to the park, did another lap of the rhododendrons and then back into the woods and back up the hill to the carpark. No sign of Harry which is very frustrating as it appears he is staying in a fairly small area, and it could well be that we were close. Just not close enough... Come on Harry, let this be the day you get fed up with fending for yourself and come home!
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Been over there for an hour and a half after work, wafting my salami! We didn't see Harry, but we did meet other people who were looking for him and some who didn't know, and who have now joined the search. We tried to cover as much of the area as posisible, up to water tower, down to the park over the bridge, back through the meadow, and into the woods to the really big carpark/open area. Everywhere we went we saw peoplecwith dogs, looking for Harry. Am hoping it is only a matter of time before he decides to give in and get caught. Will go back tomorrow before work. paula, won't be outvof work until 5pm on Friday, but can do after that if you are still about. If not, I can go round at that time anyway. x
PaulaK
Didnt see him but had good walk around area, i think people need to still go looking but quietly, absolutely no calling his name or similar and if you see him crouch low and do not make eye contact. May be a good idea for a few quiet walkers without dogs too just to try. Im free Friday afternoon if he isnt safe before then and anyone wants to meet for a walk
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Have left a message for Paula to see how they got on this afternoon, and to be guided as to whether it is helpful to go back in a bit, or as you say to hold back in case too many people scare him off. Have bought some of the smelliest salami and sausage I could get hold of, at lunchtime so am armed and ready with processed meats if am needed! :o)
SLGK
I saw your poster, I went looking for him and saw him this morning at around 9.45 near the water tower. (There was also another sighting about half an hour before that on top of the reservoir next to the tower). My dog and he had a sniff then he ran off. He looked well and was very quick. I stayed and sat with chicken but have had to come back to work. There a a few people up there looking for him. I think the fewer the better as he is so fearful of humans
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Been up there again this morning and put a large A3 laminated poster on the Water Tower car park entrance gate so everyone who goes in from that end will see it. Met another chap walking his dogs who was out searching for Harry. I didn't see him but it's good to know that he is still local and keeping himself safe, with so many sightings. Will go back after work, if he's not found before then. Fingers crossed! x
PaulaK
Right - lots of sightings still coming in - Ive managed to get a half day so will be heading over there at lunchtime
PaulaK
You are doing a great job Gail - just remind anyone searching not to chase him, if you see him turn your back and get down low to the ground. Good that he is staying in the area, hope your efforts pay off really soon.
Pet SearchersJan.Petsearchuk
I have circulated to petsearchers and other contacts. I hope Harry is soon found safe and well.

Just been out to where Harry was last seen. Lots of people out looking and Gail the owner doing everything she can to get him home. He's still in the area behind what used to be Notcutts, and the wooded area on the other side of the railway up towards the water tower, so if anyone is walking that way, keep an eye out for him. He's been spotted twice this evening but too timid to approach. Take treats if possible. Paula from DL is kindly advising owner. Fingers crossed Harry is home very soon. Gail, keep your spirits up, you will get hm back. xLast edited: 2015-06-09 20:04:49 by LostPALS
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
There is a old railway bridge that not many people know is there, which leads from behind the Rhododendrons in the new park bit behind the old Notcutts, over the line, and then into the woodland on the other side. Last time we used it a few weeks ago on the way home from the VE Day Celebrations, it was so overgrown it appeared that no one had used it for quite a while. He might be using that as it is pretty well hidden. Especially if that chap on Facebook said he saw him on the woods side of the railway, on Monday. The only other way for him to get across as far as I know, is to go through the tunnel further up the A30 and can't see him doing that. I think all the railway along there is properly fenced in? Second thought, is that Rhododendron thicket in the new park is so dense, could he be hiding in there?
SLGK
No he isn't home yet. The last sighting was at the back of the old Notcutts, his cage and blanket have been left there. I have informed Network Rail (its quite close to the railway). On behalf of his foster, Gail, thank you so much for all your efforts.Last edited: 2015-06-09 12:42:35 by SLGK

Any more news on Harry this morning? I went out this morning across the MOD land down to High Curley and back up the bridleway to the Maultway. No sign. I have put an A3 laminated poster on our fence by the Maultway/Red Road roundabout and another one on a prominent tree on the entrance to the woodland at the Red Road end, next to the car lot. Am rathe hoping this is all unnecessary and that he might already be home? Fingers crossed.
PaulaK
Im sure its already happened but has the rescue been informed (I assume his chip is registered to them?)
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
We live at the end of the Maultway where it meets Red Road so walk down towards the Country Park every day across the MOD training land. Will make sure the other dog walkers who go that way, know he is missing too. Will put up a poster on our fence too as loads of people go past every day. Hope he's back home really soon. x

Sorry to hear Harry is missing. I am just up the road in Camberley and so will keep my eyes open around the area too when walking my dog. If you need any help for an organised search, please let me know and I will do my best to be available to help. I will also share details with friends in the local area.
SLGK
That would be great thank you Pearly Jones. Yes Warden has been informed and all vets called. He is also all over Facebook. Search is concentrating on Lightwater Country Park and Maultway area. Thank you for keeping a look out. x
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
Sorry to hear little Harry is missing. We live on the other side of High Curley so close to Bagshot. Will keep an eye out for him when we are out walking in the mornings. Have everything crossed he is home soon. Have you contacted the Surrey Heath dog warden?
